I think if Kennedy doesn't start off the season in really good form, he will quickly be this years OWB.

Hynes for a lot. If he doesn’t play well, why’s he in the 7 and not Trindall? If he does and Trindall doesn’t, why’s he in the 7 and not Trindall?

Not to mention, why is he playing on the right, on the left, both sides? ad nauseum.

If he touches the ball too much (NiChObALl) or not enough (mIlLiOn DoLlARS)

Let’s be realistic.

Hynes is on 1 million dollars.

Expectations are going to be you will perform better then players making for example…1/3rd the money. Which seems fair.

So a 1 million dollar player, playing average at best or not being involved seems like a fair reason to receive OWB.

He is a confidence player…..but he needs to get over that and become a pressure player which is when it counts.

Flashback Sunday:

In addition to the Porter-Gallen Medal for Pontifex Player of the Year, Kennedy also claimed the Tommy Bishop Player’s Player Award, in an indication his teammates appreciated his contribution equally as much as the coaching staff. Kennedy was also named the Members Player of the Year, as voted upon by 2021 Sharks Members.

What an array of awards.
Add to that the most prestigious 2021 and 2023 Sharks Forever player of the year award and the early favourite for the 2025 OWB award as judged by the most profound and critical of all judges.

Congrats Will…..

I think it will be Kennedy and Toby duking it out for this one.
100% Kennedy.

I like that he's wearing a strap on his head already which shows that he's stuck his noggin in front of something which has taken off some bark.

The more messed up he looks, the less criticism he'll cop.
