the refs call players up and stop the play to ptb on the spot - calling them to go back

BUT the players all just play it the same spot where they were. They all tend to BIG step forward

its hilarious and pointless really

Sometimes they step like 10cm back when they are a meter off the mark haha

I think they allow the defence to get extra set, removing any advantage of taking the extra step in the first place.

I know its on brand of this forum to just slam the coach and certain pre-selected players each year looking at the results so far, we are already improved on year IMO. While the win-loss column looked better this time last year, i think we are tracking better personally.

2nd in defence is huge for me. Look st it however you want we are conceding 18 ppg which is the 2nd least in the comp. We have also dealt with a wild travel schedule to start the year going vegas, Townsville, Perth, Canberra, Newy and Brisbane. We have had 2 5 day turn arounds, we have played 2 (and won both) teams coming off byes.

Its likely we may not lose anyone to origin this year, which is our time to move into the top spots on the table IMO and iron out some creases with a good travel and bye schedule to see out the year.

Some losses have been frustrating but you wont win every game. Some losses are heart breaking (canberra) and some come from stupidity (tigers)

I agree with this but Storm at home with Grant back will be a big test for us and will probably tell us where we are at. I hope we can give them a good match.

Well we have the advantage of a home game and hopefully a capacity crowd like round 3 would be great.

Grant being back i dont think changes much for them. To be honest hes been bog average this year.

Its a test for sure, and if we’re serious the test shouldnt bother us.

Grant tends to have a blinder against us the bugger! But all good points you make, looking forward to this game. We need a strong start because storm can come out of the blocks pretty quick

I know they just smashed the Tigers, but the Storm have been hot and cold this year!
