I read the full letter from the referee:

It sounds like a bit of fault both ways. The comment in response was a bit unusual:

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Mark Bouris and Mr. Nick Politis confronted me. Mr. Bouris stated, "I've seen a lot of football and that was a disgrace! You reffed us out of the game." I responded, "And all your advice has been good too, has it, Mark?"

Yeah... "I abused him but not with the words he said I used" is certainly an interesting defence

Agree it was wrong of Bouris and Politis to attack him. Bouris sounds like a wanker.

But the ref should not react by getting personal with Bouris (talking about his business). You couldn't keep him refereeing one of their games after that.
