Do we need more second phase play in our game?

Wests destroyed us with offloads. Similar story in yesterday's game....Manly off to a fast start but they couldn't handle Parra when they started offloading.
I've always felt like 2nd phase is our undoing defensively. Hurts that we suck at doing it effectively in offence too.

Hunt tried that a couple of weeks ago...

Late offloads always a killer, its like another tackle in the set. Parra looked almost unbeatable at stages yesterday.

He did and admittedly I was critical of him. Just need to be a bit smarter about it.

I just feel like we need a Plan B. If the kamikaze charges by McInnes and Finucane aren't working, try some offloads and early shifts to Talakai/Wilton/Ramien. We did it way too late the other night.

Problem the other night was we couldn't stay in the grind. Kept making mistakes, giving away penalties and letting the Tigers off the hook.

The attack looks clunky... still reckon Fitz has tried to go away from Hynes more this year, buy guys like Kennedy and Trindall aren't creating much.

When's the last time a team won a premiership without an A class kicking game?

The amount of times DCE and Moses found the turf on Sunday was super impressive.

A grand final? 2023

Panthers kicking game in the GF was pretty poor.

A premiership? Probably never, but definitely 2016 because we all know Chad never put in a good kick in his life.

Yeah a premiership. I feel as though ours needs a lot of work.

I don't want to second-guess Fitz, but one change I would make is to start landing kicks inside the gigantic rectangle.
Probably not a bad start! Finding the turf occasionally within that rectangle wouldn't be bad, either.

Apparently no government funding coming for Leichhardt Oval.

I know we host more games than there but I really can't see where cash is coming from to do much needed renovations at Shark Park.

The only way I see it working is if the NRL throw in some cash.

I can't see them doing that
At this stage, I agree. However I think the NRL like the suburban ground element, so there is more incentive there than with the current government.

The other thing is there are times of growth and times of savings. I work in government so I can definitely say that right now is a time of massive penny-pinching. If everything is being cut down, sports grounds are right off the agenda. Doesn't mean it may never happen. If in 5 years or so we can put together some cash internally, then potentially put a proposal together where we go thirds with the NRL and the government, who knows?

The best way to put it on our agenda is for the fine folk in the cook voting area to kick out the liberals so they pay more attention to the area. It's too safe a seat for either party to give a **** about.

Thought we were using money from the development to fix up our stadium. Guessing this has been said before so I’ll just stop now.
