With McInnes and Teig locking in the retention list is getting smaller.

Dykes, Mulitalo, Stonestreet, Hazelton, Hau Tapuha, Kennedy and Kaufusi are the ones I think require some more negotiation/decision-making. Outside of that, it's mostly depth.

Kennedy is the only one I wouldn't be looking to retain (unless it was cheap). The rest would be great to keep, but if we can at least keep 1 of Mulitalo/Stonestreet and two of Kaufusi/Hazleton/Tuks I think we'll be in a good position.

For mine Stonestreet and Tuks are priorities

ronnie and stonestreet - unfortunately i think it might come down to one or the other, depending on how patient stonestreet wants to be. i dont think ronnie will leave but it also depends how much we want to invest in stonestreet. there will be opportunitys for sam its just unfortunate katoas contract aint up till the end of '26. personally id prefer him and ronnie on either wing. stonestreet still being a tad green and ronnies will and desire might just end up landing both of them, even if stonestreet does sign just a one year extension and then can take katoas $/spot

will kennedy - i think his days are numbered with Ison getting first pick. unless he has a dally M stellar year next year and wants to stay for f-all its more likely he moves on

tom hazelton - i think its about money with the big lad. i think hes looking for a decent term/coin contract. hes 26 at kickoff next year and wants some and gravy. thats where it clashes with oregon. i think with afb coming oregons in for a breakout year. and for a young prop oregon had a solid year and think he should take priority at this point. maybe its a case of lets chat to ya both in round 10 next year?

tuks - he'll re sign in faith with fitz and find himself a nice upgrade and a spot on the bench by seasons end

just my thoughts and like been mentioned earlier, its good to see the club getting it done professionally behind closed doors. players believing in fitz, and wanting to win a prem. the clubs in a good spot

We're now in a good position where we really only need to sign 2-3 from that list. And there's no-one on the list that isn't replaceable (though I'd be sorry to see a few leave). Puts Fitz in a good position... the staff should get a lot more credit for the job they're doing with the roster, it's been fantasitc.

I really think Kaufusi is a must sign. At only 25 he is turning into more than just a good prop for mine, I don't think he is replaceable, certainly not at his price point.

I tend to agree. I'm really liking how he's coming along. Could be our future AFB

Don’t think he has that ceiling, AFB is elite

But he is solid, could be like our Prior - AFB the Fifita

You could be right but I hope you're not 😉
I genuinely couldn't say what his ceiling is .. he's adding to his game each year. He almost feels like a front row version of Blayke.... Look like he's pottering along nicely then start breaking out and making people say 'where the **** did that come from?!' when we watched the pieces coming together over seasons.

Wonder if @Sevshark has finally started believing in him.

Few announcements made now, only one confirmed departure (Atkinson), we still have a few more to go.

Kade Dykes
Ronaldo Mulitalo
Sam Stonestreet
Tom Hazelton
William Kennedy
Oregon Kaufusi

My predictions are

Dykes (stays, takes on Atkinson role next season or Kennedy depending on where Ison is at with his development)
Ronaldo/Stonestreet (we keep one, lose one, anyone’s guess)
Hazelton (50/50 - depends what others offer him, we won’t get into a bidding war for him though I don’t think)
Kennedy (I think club have decided he will be moved on)
Kaufusi (stays)

Looks good.

Gee I hope Dykes can stay on the field and get humming again.

I’m assuming Hazelton is gone.
You never know until somethings locked in, but in interview he said he’s speaking to a few clubs and would like to stay but Fitz needs to get the chequebook out.

We can’t pay up for him with AFB, BHU, TFR all on the books, and have just extended THT before him too.

Yeah 50/50 was probably a bit generous, looking more like 20/80 that he stays
