Given we have four forwards on the bench I am sure we would manage if we picked a different style player. Not to mention Talakai could move to the middle if needed.

Game Day and I am pumped for our first home game of 2024! As many of us have said in here, the Dogs team seems quite poor on paper and we should be way too good. Let's hope though that Fitz has removed any trace of complacency from our boys and we come out firing. The Dogs will have nothing to lose so I am sure in the first 15-20 minutes they'll take the game to us.

Looking forward to going to Shark Park - looks like it'll be a little windy but a pleasant 20/21 degrees.

If Toby and Kaufusi can muscle up early on, then I think by half time we should have a good lead.

Didn't realise the Jets were playing before this game. Shame it's a shitty time slot, would love to get down early for it.

The twin tower prop pairing of Hazelton/Tuks will be so fun to watch when they're running into the smallest pack in the league. Imagine being poor 5'7 86kg Mahoney and having to try and handle two 6'6 props
6'6? Should see plenty of offloads...

Have Mulitalo & Talakai been confirmed fit to play yet with the ankle injuries they did last week & monitoring them during the week?

Both still listed, may not get an update until closer to the 1 hour official update.
Iro 18th man so he'd come in, Atkinson would move to 18th

If either were a good chance of not playing they wouldn't have survived the cut to 19, but still a chance one could drop off

Fingers crossed they both stay in then, those 2 can actually make a fairly good combo playing together on that left side. Iro isn't the worst replacement in saying that though.

So with naming the final team an hour before kickoff, do you have to run out with the starting 13? Or can you start with players listed on the bench like 5 minutes before kickoff?

Final line-up is due at that time so you can bring someone into starting 13 for an injury or swap a starter with a benchie, I.e Mcinnes/Dale, at that time.

Think the 19th man can still come back into the team if a freak injury occurs after the 1-hour cut-off though. Not 100% sure about that though

Whoever you name in the starting side an hour out has to run out, you can’t switch anyone from the bench or from 18th man into the starting line up

Unless NRL gives permission such as with a player injury after the list. Canberra (I think it was) got docked an interchange for making a change last season although I think got it back later in the game when it was picked up they did properly submit the change but it was missed

Yeah true. Technically there weren’t “docked” an interchange. It is just that swapping that player in counts as your first interchange of the game.

It’s a digital system, so someone from the club has to enter in the player names. Then someone from the league needs to click something to approve the “free” interchange when this happens.

Possibiy a similar situation in Ronnie’s debut when Dugan got hurt in the warmup.

OK, we are now just a little over 4 hours away from kick off, let's all hear your score predictions!
