Man we were looooong odds after that first twenty minutes, but that defence just kept us in it. Big play after big play. I’m absolutely chuffed with that one, fantastic.
Things changed once one of our starting front rowers left the field!

Standard round 1 for us:
- Fall behind early, say 12-0
- Takes us over 30 mins at least to score our first try.
- Brief resurgence in the 2nd half, might even take the lead briefly.
- Lose in the last 5 mins to a try.

It's honestly worth going back through our round 1 games over the years and spotting this trend.
Everything except the last step happened! Happy to be wrong there!
Gutsy win, I thought we'd blow it for sure. That's a real courageous win.

Fantastic win. Against all odds and a huge flow of possession, we’ve come out on top.
Such a huge defensive effort against a seriously hot attacking team and in their own backyard.

So many players stepped up for us tonight, much easier to name those who were a bit below par. It will be a very hard task to choose the 321 for tonight.

Talakai was immense. Nicho was brilliant. Kennedy at the back, marvellous. Tommy played huge minutes, Jesse kept RTS quiet, and our pack just did not give up.

- me getting excited, thinking we have changed as a footy side
- Lose in the last 5 mins to a try.
- me cursing myself for thinking we had changed

Fixed it!

Great win. Now we just need to learn to shift the ball coming off our line. Made it tougher than it needed to be.

I said earlier but that warriors rushing defence was elite

I think in the end our quality of scramble defence was just high enough they tired themselves out trying to attack us with their D

Wonder what our tackles inside our 20 and inside their 20 was
