Jaws
Warriors on paper but as we know, they are a funny team, just like Sharkies. Pressures on them, i think we will win.
Not in my jurisdictionAnyone hearing anything on Hynes' injury? @The Punisher , don't suppose you're working your magic fingers on his quad?
Our DNA changes if we do….It's round 1. If we win are we even the Sharks anymore?
Just call me Nancy!Jesus bunch of Nancy Negatives on here.
In respect of this upcoming match v Warriors, I had some thoughts and hot takes.
I think we can agree that our team isn't a team of superstars, however potentially they could be a superstar team.
The biggest question mark is our halves in particular and spine in general, will it fire?
I think the partnership of Nicho and Tricky is still a WIP, will be a good test against their respective rivals. Metcalfe is quicksilver on his feet and am happy for him that he seems to be removing himself from the injury prone tag and going well, albeit for a rival team.
As for the spine, well for me personally, would love to see WK back to his 2022 form, where he was lighting it up with try assists, hopefully we will see that this year.
As for our beloved hooker, well can B.B. be king? Hopefully our spine just clicks and we can lose the one man band tag ( at least in the media ).
Warriors are a good test for us, especially as it is our first match, which we seem to have an unfortunate hoodoo of losing 'em all in the past few years.
A.F.B. , R.T.S. , are superstars and will test us hard.
As for our forwards, quite like our starting props,
Oregon, or should that be OR-E-GON ( crowd chant ) @ BurgoShark , yes the forum has come around on this guy with that hair and facial hair adornment, he looks like a pirate of yore
I think we will see stats to back up he is better than last year;
Royce can unload, a rarity I feel except for maybe Toby
Speaking of Toby, do not see him as a strike prop rn, kinda see him going forward off the bench as he manages the toe
We just need to see consistency , less errors , commitment ; not expecting the Sharks to be as clinical as the Panthers yet, but if they want to win a competition they have to be as close to perfection as you can get.
So for me in conclusion, do not see them beating the Warriors or avoiding more hoodoo , but am hopeful that it won't be a case of them beating themselves.
Good luck to our team and go Sharks!
Almost forgot my hot take
Dale to retire this year and take up a job for us off field.
Havent even started on the refs and corruption yetJesus bunch of Nancy Negatives on here.
Take your point, he sure is eye candy to watch when fit tho. Hopefully both teams come thru unscathed. In regards to Metcalf I think he needs to get through this year unscathed to lose the injury tag, he still missed significant time last year.
Why would that change anything?Very interested to see how we handle fonua blake knowing he'll be at the club next year
If we were FULL strength I'd tip us .Jesus bunch of Nancy Negatives on here.
I'd be very upset if we gave him a cannonball-chicken wing-hipdrop-shoulder charge-swinging arm-spear tackle from multiple directions and wrecked him.Why would that change anything?
I dunno, that sounds like something I'd like to see. He'd have 12 months to recover!I'd be very upset if we gave him a cannonball-chicken wing-hipdrop-shoulder charge-swinging arm-spear tackle from multiple directions and wrecked him.
So , opening minute thenI dunno, that sounds like something I'd like to see. He'd have 12 months to recover!
No news from you is good news then..!Not in my jurisdiction
I only see them when they're hospitalised for surgery
