Bloody podcast app started auto playing a Fins Up episode where they watched half a game and made comment thought-out. I'm sure it was inspired by those bloke in a bar.. blokes... But geez. Dan didn't know the players (mistook some of the Sharks more than once) and they just kind of rambled occasionally without any real direction or point. Or humour. Could have forgiven them if there were a couple of laughs. Listened just enough to know it needed to go. Can't say I didn't give them a go I suppose, even if it was accidentally.

Don’t think Bloke has really done commentary during games, not that I’m aware of. Hello Sport have, and they are on Bloke once a week as well a their own stuff… so kind of right still

Shout out to snowy not being called out for not knowing the players I guess haha

Yep, they were the bloke blokes I was thinking of. They were on Bloke before becoming their own blokes.

Same thing happened to me. I was actually surprised by the lack of swearing in that episode.

The lack of knowledge and preparation is standard for those guys. Outside of the top 20 players or so they regularly get basic info wrong like pronunciation of names, the positions they play etc. That episode was a new low though. They were using example from the of things happening in the wrong games or the wrong players doing stuff.

It’s probably how they have always operated, but I think the overall standard of preparation and presentation of podcasts worldwide has gone up in the last 10 years and those guys have been left behind.
