This is not true at all.

Players and coaches knew full well the value of the extra rest. They just also knew that if they ****ed around at scrums they would get penalised every time.

The NRL added timers, changing rules to have more BiP etc. also suggests that they think less wasted time = better.

Good luck in the girls u17's GF Gards.

Didn't Tommy Raudonikis have a fine system when he coached Wests where players were fined if they were caught walking to scrums etc.

That level a genius was up there with a certain coach experimenting with one marker!

Tommy was definitely one bloke who WAS keen to get to the scrum.

First scrum of the game at least.

Maybe I'm wrong but weren't they going to crackdown on involuntary tackles this year?
It depends what you mean by this. I thought initially that it meant you weren't allowed to dive to the ground anymore, it doesn't.

They were removing the weird awkward stand off where the defender doesn't want to touch the player to make him tackled and the ball carrier sort of squirms forward. The ref can just call held anyway now seemed to be the change.

First half yesterday went for almost an hour.

I think the NRL is reading my posts and taking the piss.

“48 minute half doesn’t seem so bad now eh Burgo?”

I think the commentators said 63 minutes.
I thought they said 53
If anyone rewatches they might be able to clarify

A guy opening a new mouth on his cheek and getting knocked out would have co tributes a lot to that and no way around it.

And the shenanigans.

And Nicho kicking for touch.
I love it. Happened in the Eels v Panthers game too. Maybe it's back? It gave the Panthers the perfect chance to set a brick wall of a defensive line
