Maybe more appropriate here….

Deal done!

Do we need a Non-Rumour - Player Movement thread? haha

"We love the way Jarome plays his footy and even better, he is a great person."
Surely Benji is bringing the NRL into disrepute by just straight up lying to the press?

If there wasn't enough evidence already...

Luai explained why he went with the rare option of holding a press conference to announce his decision, rather than leaving Wests Tigers to confirm the deal.

"It's a chance for me to own this decision. I think it's a great way to show that it's coming from my mouth; not from anybody else's," Luai said.

Benji is mates with Robbie... nuff said.

The Marshall family is actually genuinely lovely I hear. His mum and a few others used to frequent the Lidcombe Bolwo where my relative was president. He always had great things to say about them.

Every NRL team’s pass mark for 2024

What does your team need to do to earn a pass in 2024?

SCOTT PRYDE Zero Tackle

The Sharks will be a premiership threat in 2025 with the arrival of Addin Fonua-Blake, but that in itself creates an intriguing dynamic for the black, white and blue heading into 2024.

We have probably set the bar a little low in suggesting that the bare minimum - a top eight finish - would be viewed as the acceptable pass mark for the club in 2023.

But that's what it feels like. It's another season where Nicho Hynes is going to be something of a one-man team.

But it doesn't have to be that way. If the forwards stand up fighting for their futures ahead of the arrival of Fonua-Blake, and the likes of Teig Wilton and Briton Nikora keep improving, then the Sharks have enough talent.

It's also a moving year with Braydon Trindall to take over the number six, and the likely progression of a few in the backline, including the exciting Sam Stonestreet and Kayal Iro.

There might be moving parts on the Shire, but this is a team who must finish in the top eight, and internally, will be aiming higher.

Hard to disagree with any of that really.

Thought Dykes was more than worthy a mention with Stonestreet and Iro though.

Can’t help but feel like Tigers just gave Batman’s contract to Robin. I’ve got my doubts Luai can be the main man in a lineup without a guy like Cleary with him. Guess we’ll see.
Luai is a bit of a confidence player though. If his teammates can lay a good platform he’ll ride it well, if the tigers tiger I don’t see him getting close to leading them out of it.
They do have some decent forwards, if they can get up field Luai has the talent to help their mediocre backs fall over the line a bit more often.

On average he’s Moylan with some capacity to tackle.
Has greater capacity to step up as the 7 than Moylan had but not by a huge amount…. yet - a lot younger so plenty of time to build more of that into his game if that’s what they want to do.

Will be interesting to see how much more there is to his game. Much like our beloved Brailey, being a role player might mean not having had the chance to showcase his full range of talents.
