Last time Penrith lost a GF was against the Storm. Hoping it happens again but no Nelson is a bit out

Yeah with Nelson out I’m leaning towards Penrith but still a bit of a coin flip

Still not really sure why I want to win either haha
Penrith aren’t as annoying as they were for a bit

I really don't mind who wins. Don't hate the Storm since Smith retired. Don't find Penrith as arrogant as they used to be.

Really looking forward to the game, as a neutral it's going to be a beauty.
Yeah same, my only issue with Penrith is Ivan. He strikes me as a snob/very arrogant, but gotta hand it to him, great coach

Even with Smith, I began to like him after his classy GF speech when we beat them

My hate for Storm is for many reasons - A manufactured entity via superleague, gifted a team fully funded by News Ltd, never had to make ends meet financially, or in any other way.

With all that outrageous advantage over REAL grass roots teams, they cheated the cap massively worse than any other club has, could, or ever will.

They make Manly and Roosters look honourable...

Don't get me started on NRL rings for their wives...

Great write up on Hughes. What a year he's had. I think he and Nicho have such similar strengths, but Hughes has just taken his game to a new level this year. If Nicho can even channel 80% of that I think we can make a GF next year.

We can't even get a player in either men's or women's Prime Minister's teams.

Hopefully some will get recognition after grand final in Pacific teams.

Penitani would have made it but she plays international level for Tonga.

Do they do a Jersey Flegg team of the year?

Atm between NRL NRLW and NSW Cup teams of the years we have 3 players, despite making at least prelim in all three.
Wonder if our "junior" senior team could scrape more than 1 in to get us to more players in teams of the year than prelim (or better) finishes...

Hopefully it’s just a case of the club saying no suitable players available. Someone like Iro would probably be in if not injured

Is he available for Australia?

Nicho and Ramien both would have been good but may be best to finish rehabing injuries

Agree, although it'll be then strange if f they play in the Koori Knockout as some have suggested and not have time off to rehab their injuries.

Yeah I didn’t actually realise it was this weekend - that does assume their injuries are non-factors, or at least expected to be very low risk to get worse (provided they play).

Hynes did play our last game and Jesse missed it but played the week before, since initially injuring it, so it’s not like they haven’t played NRL post injury
