What a win for us tonight, hopefully has changed a fair bit of momentum for us now! Roosters p,ress conference, toughen up, they get so many soft decisions go their way during the season, they get 1-2 against them 1 match & can't stop whinging hahaha.

Needs to get the regular errors out of his game , tonight's drop on the 1st after the try was a shocker , seems to have one every game , Williams the same , too many errors , hasn't got close to his form of a couple of years ago , and the team can't keep carrying stupid errors and that's what they are , stupid .
We can keep Hazleton, he really impressed me tonight, keep Royce too, probably drop Williams for now though, with Rudolph gone for a while, keep Hazelton until at least Rudolph returns. WG & Finucane I'm 50/50 on. Got to keep McInnes now.

A few thoughts:

A win's a win, always good to take especially against the Roosters. No need to be too picky. But what a frustrating team to watch. No respect at all for ball security. These 2nd tackle errors following penalties early in the game really need to be addressed. Not to mention all the other cheap turnovers. We're still very much a work-in-progress.
The Roosters' ill-discipline thankfully helped us. Any other team (well, maybe not the Tigers) would have punished us today. I don't know what Robinson's complaining about because his team was its own worst enemy.

As for the positives, Hynes is a Godsend. If he doesn't play today, we don't win. It's that simple.
Great contributions from the supporting cast, the usual suspects of course, Nikora, Brailey, Kennedy, Talakai, and for once Moylan & BHU.
Our defense was solid, although that Brandon Smith try had me worried, but there were several instances where someone made an extra effort to close a gap.

Pleased with the result but not with the execution. Still that's 2 consecutive weekends with a win. We're on a streak.

Trent Robinson whining in press conference that Lindsay Collins no try should have been a try, would have changed things.
Just watched the presser. One long constant whinge.

Imagine being a barrista at his local cafe. "That sip was pretty crap. Oh, I think this one was even worse. How long did you froth this thing? It's not exactly improving as it cools down. Not looking forward to the last bit ... see you same time tomorrow."

Yeah you wouldn’t think Fitz worked with him for 10 years. Completely different approaches and a lot less whinging than Trent

Rekon smiths got to line. Collins one was interesting I thought if bunker played it forward it might show an angle of it touching. Glad ole mate sent it up as a No try and Ronnie’s as a try

We really were under assault for big stretches of the match, best 80 minute team defensive effort for the season.
Love an arm wrestle

No f’n consistency!

None!

Butcher received a Grade Two Dangerous Contact charge for a tackle on Briton Nikora in the 15th minute at PointsBet Stadium which carries a one-game ban with an early guilty plea. Should Butcher contest the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary he would miss two games.

Fellow Rooster Brandon Smith (3rd & Subsequent Offence) has been hit with a Grade One Careless High Tackle charge which carries a $3,000 fine with an early guilty plea increasing to a two-game ban if found guilty at the judiciary.

I’m always happier if they March the opposition off or for 10 during the game, sihts me if nothing happens on field then they get suspended post game. That being said would
Like a couple dogs suspended for next week to really test their depth.

That arm wrestle in the second half where we went set for set for ****ing ages was some of the best and toughest footy played all year. The Chooks excel in that kind of footy and we made them blink first.

This is in complete contrast to how we’ve started the season, now we’ve proved we can play with this kind of fire and brimstone there’s absolutely no excuse to not do this every week, we shouldn’t accept anything less now.

we have to be consistent
and back that second half up

said the same thing - important to back that up - that the second half of the dragons game - we then went on to drop off against the Warriors

if we can't beat a damaged dogs side idk
not panic stage but would be disappointing
