A few years ago for Aussie Day long weekend I tried to organise a stay in Nowra but it was booked out so decided to go further south to Mollymook.

Nice place, some really cool beaches including some more hidden away ones.

I played golf on that course with the club house that overlooks the beach at top of the hill. That course was really up and down, built on a hill/mountain I think. Mate lost like a hundred balls lol but I did pretty well.

The only problem with those country town regional like areas is everything shuts by 9pm and if you haven't had dinner by then (or have food at base) you are screwed cause there's like one servo open at night and like 1 uber driver that does the whole area.

Reminds me a little bit of the central coast like 30 years ago before it saw alot of growth and has becomes quite developed and busy these days (+ more expensive)

Ended up doing a long walk from the pub in town back to where I was staying lol cause it was so hard to find a lift.

Driving back the main road out was closed due to fires so had to drive further South to Batemans Bay (place was packed) and then swing west towards Canberra.

Anyways nice place for family holidays and retirement me thinks, or even just a beach getaway with the lads.

Yep, I agree Gards. If you’re coming down here to have an all night rager you’ll be disappointed.

We played Hilltop golf course, but no way would I ever walk it with the condition my legs are in. We got a cart and found it much easier. I’m off a 28 handicap these days as my game has gone seriously downhill, but I still managed 42 Stableford points.

We will be leaving here tomorrow morning, so will certainly be back in time for this game we’re supposed to be discussing. :)

Sorry, for getting us all off the track!

Ramien has until Sunday morning to recover from a shoulder injury. Iro will come into the centres if he is out and Atkinson will replace him as 18th man.

Wow.

Do you reckon Tracey switches to the right side in that situation?

Poor Hiroti. Not sure what else the bloke can do to get a run. Easily the Jets best player over the last 12 months. Maybe having him and Katoa in the same side is just too much sexy to fit in to one game.

Hiroti just one step too far down the depth chart in the whole 1-5 haha
Almost a victim of his own versatility, wherever they need him he goes and does a job while other players get to concentrate on their position.
Very useful to have for Jets but I hope he’s not on much more than min wage as I don’t really see him getting any closer to a run with the likes of SS coming through.

Unless Fitz felt comfortable Iro can play right as well as left I’d switch them

Could be as much about taking a chance to give Iro a run to keep him hungry.

Yeah - of course. Probably the right call. Just funny how it works. Iro wins everything and gets hyped but Hiroti imo has played better footy. He’s another Tracey. Good all around footy player but not outstanding in any particular spot.

Wish we were backing up against a top 8 side this weekend. Seems like the trend is we get spanked by a good team then “respond” by bumming a couple of bottom teams then get spanked again when think everything is fixed and are just complacent. No doubt they will be fired up this weekend and be looking to respond I’d just like to see how that fire might go when directed at a good team… we might even be half a chance to nab a win against a top 8 team coming off a loss like that.

Or we may just stink it up again this weekend 🤣

I just hope the lurgy doesn't ZAP the energy out of a LOT of our team this weekend .
