That for a start
Id also drop Wade for Berrell
Then put Hunt to Bench with Finucane starting front row & Cam Mc at lock where he belongs
Hate to be rehabbing with you & have a bad week. Wind up back in surgery to try something else.

You're tough on the benchies considering the score was 24-0 when Williams came on to the field, and 6-all during Wade's stint.

Say they go with that lineup, you are removing ~55-60 minutes of middle forward output, and replacing it with only Colquhoun. Say he plays 20-25, who is getting those other minutes? Are you playing McInnes for 80, bumping up a prop, or playing Berrell as a running forward for part of his time?

Here is last week's usage for reference.

Thinking about this forward usage, I do think Finucane should start at prop. I am just unsure who should partner him. Hunt for impact maybe. I do also wonder if Jesse C had not been injured if he would have been our mainstay on the bench with all the injuries instead of the Nut. I would like him to get some game time as well when the timing is right.

Fitz prefers two genuine props to start the game and play the first 20. This is why Hunt got promoted to the starting line-up late last year, and again last week.

For Fitzball...

- Start with two big guys and one high work-rate guy (the lock)
- From ~20 minutes in play the rest of the game with two high work-rate guys and one big guy

This is almost universal across the last 1 1/2 seasons, unless someone gets hurt or there is a big margin in the score. You rarely see more than a 5-8 minute overlap after the 20 minute mark where there are two "props" on the field.

It's harder when you don't have your two starting props and Tolman to call on, but that's how he wants to play. As you said, I could definitely see Colquhoun being groomed to take on Tolman's 2022 role eventually - and become that third high-workrate guy who can play 40+ minutes.

I get this and if we had BHU or Toby free I would agree with it. We are just a bit down on prop depth at the moment and wonder if the change would work better for us.

It's an idea that plenty on here have suggested, but I reckon Fitz will only use it as a last resort. He even had Fifita start one game last year to avoid doing it.

I reckon despite the injuries we are not in "last resort" territory just yet.

I really would like to see Jesse C given a chance. I think he is the type of player who will do well under Fitzy. He has a good mix of size and mobility and seems to have a good work rate from the limited time I have seen him play.

For sure. I love what he brings. Fantastic prospect. As you said, we might have seen him already this year had he not gotten hurt.

It will be interesting see which direction they try to go with him. Is he going to become more of a Finucane type player, or are they going to try to beef him up to be a genuine prop. Someone on here who watches the Jets a bit (maybe @Jasonstevenswedgie ?) said recently that he's looking more like a prop and less like a lock every week.

Will be interesting to see how he develops. I think our need is more so at prop.

think he might be carrying a little extra padding for his recovery period, still gets through a mountain of work with the extra weight. doesnt seem to stop him making the extra effort on defense plays.

Might have been someone else who said that then.

Very surprised to see fitz has picked the same team this weekend. Really Thought there would have been at least 1-2 changes made.

I have a membership that gives me a GA ticket to the Coffs Harbour game.

I already bought 2 grandstand tickets.

Anybody able to use the GA ticket can DM me and it's theirs.

Would love to take them off your hands but can you also chip in 2 return flights from Perth pls???

I’ll arrange my own park bench for accommodation.
