ACT cops are usually a group of petite women and scrawny guys with 1 big (fat will do) guy. Given the size of Trell & Jack they woulda been hasty to subdue them. If they REALLY resisted they woulda got away or tased.

My bet is resisting was along the lines of "don't arrest us, we're mates just mucking around".
They prob just wanted a way out of the All stars game

NRL superstars Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton are being investigated after being arrested in Canberra on Saturday.

Both South Sydney and the Raiders confirmed in statements the pair are being probed by the NRL integrity unit.

Reports say Wighton and Mitchell were arrested on Saturday while celebrating Wighton's 30th birthday.
Can you imagine the back lash if either of them was seriously injured.

Picture Ronnie being tackled by Trell in Rd1 “My shoulders my shoulders” could be the best sledges of all time.

Lachlan Lewis’s name has popped up in the trial squad for the raiders. Wondered where he went too.

The Mole: Kiwi rugby 'fuming' after Roosters poach teenage Joseph Suaalii clone

The Roosters have signed a Joseph Suaalii clone from New Zealand - and Kiwi rugby union officials are fuming.

Tavita Henare-Schuster, a towering 20-year-old outside back from the Hurricanes, was being groomed for Super Rugby and the All Blacks across the ditch.

But the Roosters have swooped on the youngster this week and put him on a development contract that could see him playing in the NRL within the next 12 months.

"The rugby union people had developed Tavita over the past few years and knew they had something very special on their hands," Henare-Schuster's manager Adrian Lepou told Wide World of Sports.

"But at the end of the day, he wanted to try his hand at league and when the Roosters came calling, it was an easy decision.

The new entry level wage bumps will only help us continue to steal talent.

There are 12 Super Rugby teams at the moment across Aus and NZ (+ pasifika and Fiji) and we have 17 teams - while the elite end is still more attractive in Union the entry level opportunities and chances to get a start are deeper in League.
