A Queensland rugby league player has been found dead in a nightclub in Barcelona, Spain.

Redcliffe Dolphins player Liam Hampson’s body was found by police overnight after he went missing.

Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported Hampson had fallen from a height of about 10 metres and that the death was being treated as accidental.

The 24 year-old had been on holiday with a group of NRL players including Gold Coast Titans star AJ Brimson and the Brisbane Broncos’ Jordan Riki and Jesse Arthars.

this is very suss! Was found in a nightclub 30 hours after being pronounced ‘missing’. Did the staff not see some bloke laying lifeless on the floor in the club.

The clubs there are pretty different, they are literally so dark you can't see who you're talking to.

But yeah it does seem odd.

He was my favourite player to watch in the Q Cup. Had a bit of skill and was an a$$hole to the opposition. I'll miss watching him. Best wishes to his family and friends.

Pretty sure I’ve been in club he died and as I remember it it’s just one giant room, someone would notice someone crumpled on the floor.

Presumably as he was seen leaving he was actually kicked out and tried to get back in, fell in some out of the way, back/storage area

Leigh Centurions have rebranded as the Leigh Leopards, didn't tell or consult fans or member apparently.
Doesn't help the jersey is HIDEOUS.
