Good share

I think the TLDR is basically that we should hold the ****ing football.
We make decent meters, hold opponents well and we score well... but similar to the focus of the article on the roosters, too many errors.
Yep. By his metrics, the Sharks are a top team.

Great to see we have a player in the top 20 in the NRL for something.

No game tonight fellas, and Burgo – it's only Thursday.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Apparently the Tigers might be getting Leichhardt upgraded, looking at $100 mil & Albo said he’ll go halves with state govt as it’s in his electorate.
100 mil for a ground which gets used 4 times a year by the Tigers, bloody Scomo couldn’t swing anything our way when in power. We’ve got no heavy hitters who can pull strings for our upgrade, they also got $75 mil for their centre of excellence, what the hell do we have?

Where did Albo say that?

Article I read said it's heavily contingent on state and fed funding, neither of which have committed.

The state government won't commit. Remember they recently said no more suburban ground funding. They're cost cutting everywhere atm.

I also doubt the NRL will assist as Abdo and PVL are focused on expanding the game into “new markets” and growing its supporter base to wider communities by introducing an 18th team in the heart of Brisbane playing out of a new venue (Suncorp Stadium).

There is bit of other stuff going on up here related to expansion too. The Q Cup teams are sorting themselves by geography. Norths Devils have announced that they are ending their association with Brisbane and will be a Dolphins feeder starting next year. Broncos will keep Souths and Wynnum. That gives the Dolphins both Northside teams, plus Capras (Rockhampton). Melbourne still have the Sunny Coast and Easts for now, but they will start sending players to North Sydney next year, and Easts are trying to become an NRL team.

The Q Cup teams run the pathways programs up here (not the NRL teams) so you'd think over time Melbourne gets the a$$ and we end up with catchments. Brisbane gets the city, the bay, and the inner West. Dolphins get the everything North of the airport, and if Easts get an NRL team they end up with the Southern suburbs and Ipswich. "Souths" currently play games on the Southside, but train in the city so a lot of Broncos players prefer to go there if they get a choice.

Outside of the NRL that makes a LOT more sense from a pathways PoV. Right now most of Logan is aligned with Wynnum, which is twice as far away as Easts, and a pain in the a$$ to get to.

Being a big geographic area that makes a lot of sense... if you think it's sensible to let QLD have even more involvement and influence, which coming up right before game two of Origin when we're one down is a firm no.
