"“The big thing I just spoke about is that it has been evident for the past month that our resilience, our steel, our effort is not there and that is the part of the game we have got to sort out before we can sort anything else out. That is a big focus for me.”

Pretty much sums up our last month or so. Unfortunately this came from Stacey Jones re Warriors. They will be up for this one.
It's still a canned response though.

I would have preferred "The thing is Brad, most of our players just aren't good. We've got a few half-decent forwards, but our halves are one bloke wanting a year off next year and another who should be sitting out this one, our fullback is going to be great in 2-3 years but is only playing NRL because we promised it to get him here, and our outside backs are more worried about looking good on the beach than on the stats report. Also - Brownie was a bit of a c*nt and nobody here really liked him".

That was probably the answer given before the reporter hit record on his tape recorder.

I could imagine him stating your comments above before saying "but for the record..."

Given the week off should refresh the squad and let us tweak and refocus our game plan

We scrapped home with the 2 points v “The Bye”. Lets hope we can get the 2 points and put on a decent chunk of differential to our differential against The Warriors this weekend…..

If the Warriors come to play we should only beat them by 20.

If we can't run up a score with just about our best side running out off the back of the bye we're in some deep doo-doo

How is this “just about our best side”?

Finucane, BHU, Williams, Graham are all missing from the 17. That’s your best forward, your best impact forward, your best bench forward, and your captain.

There's hardly been unanimous agreement that Williams and Graham playing make it our 'best side'.

My Best forward pack is.

8. BHU
9. Brailey
10. Toby
11. Nikora
12. Wilton
13. Finucane

14. McInnes
15. Graham
16. Williams
17. Hunt

Yes a four forward bench as outside of hunt the other three are very versatile.

Doesn’t need to be unanimous. Only one bloke’s opinion matters: Fitz.

Fitz has Graham and Williams in his best 17. Both have been picked in every single game they’ve been healthy for.

People have short memories. When played in his proper role last year (a 30-40 minute bench middle) Williams was outstanding.
