Does anyone have any info on the Sharks V Bulldogs game next weekend and being able to secure tickets?

My daughter has just told me she’d like to travel up and watch the game next weekend for her birthday, but see ticketek has allocation exhausted to general public.

Is there any way for members (interstate membership) to get tickets? Are they doing the seat re-sale facility this year? Alternatively if anyone could hook me up I’m happy to pay accordingly!

V'landys strikes me as the kind of guy whose idea of fishing would be to throw a hand grenade in a pond.
When we were kids we used to light tom thumbs and drop them so they would explode exactly as they hit the water - then watch all the stunned fish float to the surface.

While there were suggestions Olakau’atu’s gesture was a gang sign, teammate Walker denied those claims, declaring people outside of their circle “won’t quite” understand the context.

Is Walker referring to people outside the circle of homophobic supporters of killers?

He's right. I dont get it.

It is amazing how anybody who doesn't want to virtue signal support of the corporate ( it is only about money and being seen to do what they think is the right thing) rainbow is a homophobe.

Yeah because they really stood up and said "this rainbow jersey is just virtue signaling, we should do more than that to support our LGBT+ community in the nrl".

They are homophobes because they used their religion as an excuse to boycott the pride jersey, despite having no religious/moral opposition to attempted murder (at least publicly).

For the record I think virtue signaling does very little other than start a conversation, and that these players should be able to support their mate privately. They are just cowards that hid behind their faith and ended up tying themselves in a hypocritical mess.

If only it were possible to show support for a friend, without condoning every action of said friend.

Just because someone does not agree with their lifestyle choices doesn't make them a homophobe. The word homophobe means they dislike or prejudice against them. They actually haven't said anywhere that they dislike people or want anything bad to happen to them or prejudice against them, just not wear a jersey of support. Big difference.

Pretty sure standing up for ones beliefs is not a cowardly act weather you or I or anybody else agrees with them or not. Coward definition "a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things." Pretty sure they did the opposite of a cowardly act as they knew it would be unpleasant for them.

Honestly should keep all of the moral and political bullshit out of the game. I have said it before, your inclusive jersey is the club jersey.

Really all they were asked to do was to wear a slightly different coloured shirt to show they think some other people (who their religion is often associated with condemning) are deserving of equal acceptance.
They opted not to do that.
They opted to stand by their religion based view that gay people are lesser/bad.
They opted to demonstrate that they have a prejudice.
They’re homophobic.

They’ve very clearly demonstrated that they would actively disadvantage themselves to avoid being associated with a show of support for gay people.
Then almost immediately shown support for an attempted murder.

It does sound like there's plenty of scope within their religion to at least co-exist with aspects of life that are not in line with their faith, such as gambling and alchohol. Being selective about which ones you're okay with and not is discriminatory. It's impossible to find a way around that in any efforts to be understanding and inclusive of their religious beliefs.

Having said that, I think if it were handled better and in a more respectful way of the starting point for their feelings about the issue we would have seen a different result. Like the Women's round being allowed to be its own round... one of these guys may even have brought it up!
