Titans are an absolute mess atm. I think if this continues Holbrook will be very close to getting the boot.
Yr close to the ground there. Thoughts on why it is? Wasn't surprised they were overhyped last yr and would falter, but thought they would go real well this yr.

I can only think possible Dragons, Titans or Raiders. These 3 teams have played OK in patches. Raiders especially are a debacle at the moment so will need to pull their finger out.
Expecting Ricky to sign 8 poly players. Could be his last hope now he run out of Englishmen

Fiji's actually the next practical country in the alphabet, probably start there... Though your idea is probably a better weather match
France not far off though. apparently the kid Storm has signed is a real prospect

"Melbourne have also gone abroad in bolstering their pack for next season with the signing 20-year-old Chan from the Super League.

The move continues a family connection to the Storm - Joe's father Alex played 32 times for the club during the 2004 and 2005 campaigns.

Joe Chan has made 16 appearances for Catalans and can play through the middle or an edge.

The youngster has made an impressive start in 2022, scoring four tries in seven Super League matches."

Supposedly this season regularly one of the best performers in what is one of the better teams.

Brimson put back at fullback for the Titans. Should of done this weeks ago.

The issue with the Titans is they keep losing and picking the same squad and running the same old boring plays and boring style.

He may not actually play there. Campbell played 80 in the Q Cup on the weekend and is named in #24.

You could argue Smith/Brimson might have been better than Brimson/Isaako while Campbell was out, but they want to give Brimson time in the 6 so you can see why they persisted. I've never been much of a fan of Brimson as a ballplayer, but given time he could be good.

In any case, the solution to being boring definitely includes Campbell being in the team.

I think Holbrook is trying to throw a curve ball with Brunson @ 1, before he was injured Campbell was one of Titans best, I’ll be shocked if he’s @ FB fir them this weekend

They learnt a valuable lesson - there is only one Talakai!

Actually what it showed is that it takes more than just a big bopper out wide. Our shape and swift passing was what allowed Talakai to do what he did.

Exactly. Give DFifita what Sifa had to work with it'd be carnage too.

Absolutely. I feel for Fifiita, he cops so much **** despite consistently outperforming any other player in his position. I'm sure his salary helps him not feel too bad though.

I Rekon broncos get into the 8
Not sure yet at who’s expense.

I'm not buying the Eels at all - gunna put it out there, possible implosion late season? I think it could be on the cards but prob won't lose enough games to miss the 8. I think they had a big fade a few seasons back leading up to the finals IIRC

Realistically Sea Eagles and Rabbits look shakey at the moment

Will take a punt at how top 8 will finish up

1. Panthers
2. Storm
3. Sharks
4. Roosters
5. Eels
6. Souths
7. Cowboys
8. Broncos

Ah ffs we have to play Storm in Melbourne first week of finals

Yes glad someone has mentioned this but Holbrook seems to have escaped the scrutiny and pressure of the media unlike the other sydney and qland based coaches. as for internal pressure well we arn't privy to that

I know he had a good reputation coming from ESL but he's been at the Titans a few years now and they are still embarrassing not that I think it should all be on his shoulders.

Like the Warriors culture is a problem and that can't all be on the coach . too many players go just for a paycheck but how do you get passionate about a club with little to no history or success?

well you gotta start somewhere i guess

I would like to see them do well but they also kinda make me cringe a bit

Easy fix - just swap Sharks and Penrith around!

Yeeeah that probably aint gonna happen. Good luck catching that lot this year.
It’s early enough still in the season and with a few key injuries to those teams it is possible.
But yes, I agree, unlikely.

To win a premiership you have to beat these teams anyway.
The venue is what it is, so you just have to roll with the punches.
Storm are beatable at home and I reckon with a full strength side, we could do it.

As Gus said, you only have to beat them once.

Um… Titans made the 8 last year, finished ahead of the Sharks, and were one pass from making it to week 2. Also would have made the 8 in 2020 had the NRL not counted the 2 pre-Covid rounds which were played months earlier with a different rulebook.

They are missing Fogerty big-time. Injuries haven’t been kind either. I don’t think Holbrook is the issue.
