I can see it now. They change this rule, everyone talks about how great it is, and then 4 rounds in to next season every game with a 2 point gaps sees 5 rucks up the middle then a chip and chase... followed by the kicker taking a soccer-like dive.

It's like when they tell us that Golden Point is there to make the game more exciting. Yep - because everyone LOVES watching footy when the defence is offside, there are 4 NFL-style blockers at the play the ball and neither team ever makes an effort to actually score a try. I wish the whole 80 was like that!!!

It's usually not great footy but high stakes between two closely matched teams usually has some excitement.
Not how I want to see anyone playing the first 80 but I don't mind it
