Surely tv numbers were still good?
Sill same amount of total NRL games but like three extra international games instead of just origin
I wonder if there is any influence by the teams not wanting to release players for a mid season game?

Im with Bennett on this one. Shocking call to go back to three Wednesday Origins.
It's just the NRL dropping their dacks for channel 9 like always.

Having the middle game on Sunday night is so much better for the NRL competition. It's also great for the island nations and Women's RL, great exposure for them.

This is a big backward step.

That’s a different story… unrelated to what you said

I don’t mind the player manager sticking up for his player
A manager sticking up for their player is fine when warranted, having a sook because he got the hook is pathetic which is right in character for Anasta so I shouldn't be surprised.

It doesn’t matter what you or I think we don’t pay him $. He is protecting his player which is his job

I guess it depends on the content/context of him reaching out - which we don’t really know.

Was it “WTF JD? Hook him again and we go shopping!” Or was it “just want to make sure we look after the kid”?
Lol well they said it wasn’t the content that was bad it was the speed of it so you would think it’s the 2nd one

And having a manager that controls so many players and media narrative means unfair leverage over coaches

Don’t take it personal just saying criticising him for doing his job good is questionable
at least half this forums content is people being criticised for doing their job, or not as we may feel sometimes.
