Not watching it live but weird how in this trial Dragons have given away like 6 6agains in first 20 minutes when they were impeccable last week (apparently)

Our team is short on its quota for gingers so **** it, let’s sign him.

What’s the quota? We are short in the top squad but there are a few in the pipeline.

Is there a fine if we don’t meet our quota? Can we get Florimo on the development list? I’m sure he could put in a solid 15 off the bench.

You can televise things at the same time, it's called different channels.
Even easier to stream things at the same time as there is absolutely no reason this would be an issue...

I think there was an extraordinary meeting called about at NRL level about 10-15 years ago and they implemented a ginger quota due to violent protests outside of NRL HQ by the ginger community, I think over two billion dollars worth of damage was caused by the riots. As a result the NRL adjusted their constitution to include the “Brad Meyers clause” that every club needs to have at least three ginger players in their top 30.

Would have thought they'd seperate them for pubs and clubs though. Still, no biggie for watching at home

I'm not worried at all. Watch the Sharks game - really couldn't give too hoots about the others. Maybe watch them later if I'm looking for something to do.

Doubt many go to a pub or club to watch a trial.

Also I expect the games are just being played when each of the two teams wants to play the game. Don't have to worry to much about television schedule when not being televised and just a trial.
I assume any pub that wants to throw a webstreamed trial match up on the tvs will just prioritise whichever one has team most local to them.

Are none of these on FTA? Did not know that.

Some of those games are not far off 'old mate Faceook live streaming from his phone' quality either, so yeah, I could see how they might not get a run at a pub!

They've never been on FTA mate, would be lucky to attract 50k people watching.

Ah. Haven't watched FTA for years. The Commonwealth Bank Cup is still on though, right?? That was fun, watching them all get carried away and punch on half the game.

Well no team list for this weekends trial yet.

I did see some comments that Rudolf and Tolman might sit this out due to niggles and the trio from the All Stars game are expected to play (though minutes will be limited I'd imagine)

Not expecting too many surprises but good to see what fringe players get picked.

EDIT: On the NRL pages it says we're naming the team on Thursday.

Rudolf and Tolman both have minor hamstring strains and expected not to play trial but be fine by round 1
Mbye, Hymel Hunt, Rat McGuire and Luke Keary all in same boat

Doesn't appear to be any Flegg trials from what I can see. I'm sure there's a handful of Flegg players getting game time with other trials but others seem to be missing out.

In 2021... the return of the killer hamstrings...

Were they racing each other?
