This probably wont happen, but I’m hoping for at the very least, these changes before kickoff:
• Tracey to centre.
• Metcalf to 5/8th.
• Talakai to second row.
• Williams to the bench.

Still a dog**** team but I think those changes will make it just a little bit better.

Oh and:

• Hannay out.

Agree with all those changes.

I know Metcalf is unproven (in first grade) but moving him there allows the other moves to happen, which I do reckon makes us stronger and more consistent to what our team selections have usually been

I’ve called Tracey to centre and Metcalf to 6 so I’m up with this structure.

Williams to bench I also don't mind exchanging that for Rudolf or BHU to bench (any of those three I am fine with) but the rest I agree with.

If we do stick with as is it will be Ramien v Best and Talakai v Mann in the centres.

I would even throw Ronnie at centre and Tracey on the wing.. they are players signed with us already for the future, Ronnie is a centre played there his junior career while Tracey has played his best footy for us at winger.

Gets Metcalf in the mix at halves too

I can live with Talakai at centre. Had a blinder in the position last year rd 12 and had commentators raving about him. Hopefully the beast can draw their winger in then offload to an unmarked Katoa.

I could live with this side. Not a fan of big second rowers at centre in the current climate.

I can definitely envisage the winger feeling like he might need to give Mann a hand stopping Talakai... or half edge sliding out to help Mann and letting WK slip through untouched.

I can also envisage Ponga leaving Talakai grasping at air although that is certainly also true of running Chambers there so no difference really.

They weren't great against Broncos by any means.....having said that Ponga will tear us apart. Our wingers dont need an excuse to come in off their wings.Ponga will be giggling and will toy with the edges

My first thought, too. He'll cripple anyone he hits, but have more run around him.

On selections... BHU killing it from the bench, so we start him... Great...
Chambers dropped. Cool.
Tracey at 6. Let him play where he wants, he's one of a trunk sized handful of players giving it a real crack.
Mags...

I’d rather see Hiroti at centre Talakai 2nd row.
Talakai has a slower turning circle then the titanic…
