Pre-season training starts today

If/when the club starts posting pictures I’ll pop them into the player ID thread, and update the signings thread with any fringe (non top-30) players who appear in the photos.

Thanks, I saw a few social media posts showing they're back.

Also noticed SJ is on the bike now starting rehab which is good. Think he's in NZ currently.

I appreciate that Rudolf and Blayke are hella tight after thinking they wouldn't like each other initially.
Royce also looking pretty good, looks like he has been keeping on top of things since his injury.

I might be wrong, sure I saw something tagged with "we're back!"

Might've been from when they got in to NZ though

yeah that's them arriving in NZ.

Also it's been announced we'll be playing a regional game in Coffs next season

why wouldn't they like each other?

every top 8 team from 2020 gets a rnd 1 home game
except the Eels.... cause ya know the broncs, the wooden spooners need to get off to a flyer

warriors vs titans is smart though - get that dud match up out of the way, they would only hurt the viewership of another game if they weren't playing each other

when did we last play the dragons rnd 1? I remember beating them in the rnd 1 double header at ANZ in 2000

the theory was always to save the derby for later in the season as you expect a good crowd for rnd 1 regardless

but yea playing out of the dragons home ground, likely covid crowd restrictions still in place and the rivalry not quite being what it used to it's prob not gunna matter that much from an attendance and viewership point of view anyway

Paraphrasing but when Blayke first met Toby he thought he was too loud and out there and thought something along the lines of "I'll probably never talk to this guy" only to go on to become two of each others closest friend in the team.

Doesn't appear to be many Saturday home games. Which is my personal preference but no big deal. No Thursday games is good. And we get a decent chunk of FTA games which could be good for sponsorship.

Additionally for the first possible 8 weeks with no SJ there's a few tough games but also a few wins there.

Last rounds seem ok - Broncos, Tigers, Warriors, Eagles all didn't make the finals last year. Storm often rest players. And the Knights at home.
