LEAD CHANGE ALERT!!!

After losing it last week Johnson reclaims the lead with 2 games to go. Looking the goods to go back to back unless Toby can reign him in again. 3rds getting interesting with Talakai now joining Brailey on that last step of the podium.

He gets try assists and wins us games off his own back. He deserves 6 points IMO

Well well well. Here’s the situation. If Rudolf is either rested or plays and doesn’t poll a single point, then we will have joint winners of this years award for I’m pretty sure the first time. I’m not too bothered by that as both guys deserve it. I know some might suggest to extend this leaderboard into the finals, but I said at the start of the year that this leaderboard will be for the regular season only and the finals will have their own one and I intend to stick with that. Talakai moves into outright 3rd. Welcome to the leaderboard Scotty Sorenson, better late than never.

Unless Brailey has a man of the match game, the results are set.
=1st: Shaun Johnson (c): 18
=1st: Toby Rudolf: 18
3rd: Siosifa Talakai: 14
4th: Blayke Brailey on 12 is the only one that can push for a podium.
I'm hoping for a 2 from him as I think Talakai deserves to be up there.

Prediction:
= 1st: Shaun Johnson: 18
= 1st: Toby Rudolf: 18
= 3rd: Siosifa Talakai: 14
= 3rd: Blayke Brailey: 14

Well that’s it folks. We have joint champions. I’ll do a big write up after the season. A new leaderboard will be started for the finals. I know that will be a bit pointless considering it’s likely we’ll only play one game. But that’s the procedure. Welcome to the leaderboard to Daniel Vasquez, Briton Nikora and Mawene Hiroti.

Sharks Fan Poll Player of the Year
Shaun Johnson – 24
Josh Dugan – 23
Toby Rudolf – 12
Siosifa Talakai – 10
Wade Graham – 7
Sione Katoa – 6
Will Kennedy – 6
Braydon Trindall – 5
Ronaldo Mulitalo – 4
Blayke Brailey – 4
Connor Tracey – 4
Royce Hunt – 3
Jesse Ramien – 3
Briton Nikora – 3
Daniel Vasquez – 3
Scott Sorensen – 1

Dugan has scored very well! Was fairly consistent (as he was last year) and typically decent, but surprised to see him manage to convert it into so many votes

Shaun obviously only won because he has more fans on instagram

wait wait wait hold up - Chad didn't even make the list or score a single point? I thought he was an 'official sharks fan' favorite highly regarded and respected outside of the SF bubble ?

Surprising to see Brailey so low

Even in our voting I often find Brailey is in say, my top 6 players, but not quite the standout the get the vote.
Burgess will tell you if we all voted at the 60 minute mark Brailey would be leading and there have definitely been a few games I'd agree with that, where I am thinking Brailey then SJ gets that last TA or two and pushes him out of my 3.

The fans one is very heavily pro Shaun and pro Dugan, I'm surprised to see those guys so far ahead as I didn't see Dugan as a standout and SJ did miss a few games.

The votes don't reflect the most solid or consistent players week to week necessarily like a Brailey or Katoa. As good as brailey is he doesn't produce that many things for the highlight reels and and as many trys and error free games Katoa has wingers rarely get given the full 3 points

They reflect the players that had the most standout games or the biggest stand out game and it just so happens that SJ was having alot of standout games back to back week on week

Be good to work out some sort of SFE trophy.

If we all chucked in $5 we could get some kind of gold coloured thing that looked a bit like one of the lesser moldable metals surely.

Let go of the wrong one?

Well done on running the comp, Matty.

Yep, much appreciated CrazyMatt. It's good fun.

Pleasure gents.

That has crossed my mind, I was seriously thinking about doing something like that at the end of last season, I even had a design in mind. But didn’t think the players would take it and I didn’t want to ask everyone for money LOL. Maybe some kind of gift or something. Stilettos Voucher?

Matty, can you introduce voting to 2 decimal places next year?

If we have a cracking win i'd like to give all 17 players 0.35 points.
