So Benji going to Hull for 1 season @ $1mil

I reckon they could have got him cheaper
Good luck to him though

It was a pretty distant partnership, not sure we were going to see much benefit for a few years and with COVID it was likely $$$ the Roosters offerred. Or perhaps we decided to not continue and focus what funds we have on more local development.

In all likelihood the really good players would have been scouted well in advance and recruited by other clubs anyway.

Sharks thus far have a fairly good retention of young talent ( Endeavour Sports and Sharks Junior Teams ) .
Roosters would have known we were on a potential winner , that unfortunately just came unstuck this year due to COVID.
Could have really spread the Black /White and Blue throughout Fiji , it was a potential game changer for us , but ALAS.
Great investment of $$$$ from the Roosters . What talented Fijian junior is going to knock them back after a good game of golf and having played in their system.

No one now that we have a whole country of them!

similar coin in NZ peso to AUD dollereydoos so not sure where the conversion came from - rounded up to a mil sounds better for the reporter :p

money is money though so why not bank some more - can't imagine ESL clubs find it easy turning a profit but if Hull are as desperate as you say maybe they are used to throwing overs at a player
Brett Hodgson is their new coach - wonder if they could go one better next season and make the GF
