260 nrl games

14 state games

that is not a lot of footy at right centre no matter which way you want to dress it up

even his 6 games for australia doesnt come close to 10%

If he can play right centre on the rep stage he can play it if needed in our unorganised abortion of an attacking structure

he's actually played more games on the wing (28) and more games at fullback (17) than he has at right centre in the nrl (3)

If it were to be Dugan out (will happen) and someone like Xerri was to come in and he was most familiar with left, id rsther the veteran switch to right than the rookie

There was talk earlier in the year that we had signed a young Rooster and he was one of the names suggested. He actually played in the schoolboy games in the same team as Kyle Pickering. If he indeed has signed it might be worth re-watching some of those games again to check him out. The links are in the SG Ball thread. Giles is born in 2001 so would be 18’s eligible next season.

As for the lineup talk...

- Xerri won’t play wing but it might be a viable option at some stage to have Xerri at left centre with Morris on the wing. A bit of veteran help in defence would be huge for Xerri.

- I also like the idea of Bukuya on the right edge. He has been outstanding there in the past but never seemed to find any form after the virus. He is certainly capable of taking that spot.

- I think the Uele left edge experiment might be worth exploring.

- I’m surprised there hasn’t been more talk of Prior to 13 and Gallen to the bench. The comments from Gal and Flano this year would suggest this is a possibility.

- I think Jackson Ferris is going to surprise a few people. I’d probably have him ahead of Lumelume.

**** man the Gal and Bukuya points have been my mantra, that and Woods starting.

Katoa got a call up this year so I don't see why Ferris wouldn't but I think it'll depend on injuries and other signings. I'd say he'd be 4th centre at best picked Dugan, Morris, Xerri. Maybe even 5th if you include Capewell.

He's played fullback and off the bench a bit I think but not sure if he's played wing.

Certainly one to watch but I think it'll be through injury etc and maybe more in 2020. A year with the Jets will be good for him anyway.

Ferris can play anywhere 1-5. Lumelume has been a centre in previous years but this yeat played wing almost exclusively. Lumelume has played more rep footy but IMO Ferris is the better prospect. Lumelume is a boom or bust prospect for mine... could be the next Wendell Sailor or the next Stewart Mills.

It’s relevant though for 2019 that Ferris is on a development player contract. He can’t play NRL unless there are significant injuries to players in the top 30. Xerri and Gray are part of the top 30. Lumelume we don’t know about yet.

We'll definitely see some of those juniors play as there are 7 blokes in there yet to debut. Looking like an interesting season. No segy makes obvious suggestions. Hopefully we have one signing to look forward too before the season.

Magoulias goes ok. His hands let him down sometimes but if he gets that part of his game sorted he could be an NRL player. He’s only 21 - plenty of time for him to become a solid player.

Bad hands are bad hands though. If he hasn't got that **** sorted by 21 I doubt he ever will.
