Ladies and gentlemen the Sharks Forever Forum Cronulla Sharks Football Club Player of the Year award, otherwise known as The Gronk (maybe? How about it?) is back for another year.

Not much is going to change from last year. I’ll pop up a 3-2-1 thread straight after each game and I’ll tally up the votes every Thursday night (if we have a Thursday game the following week, I’ll tally on Wednesday). I’ve got my spreadsheet all updated with the new roster and ready to go.

The only change this year is that I want to use this thread as the leaderboard thread instead of putting the leaderboard at the end of each individual 3-2-1 thread. (Admins, can you sticky this thread please?)

Here’s hoping we get a closer race this year then we got last year, hoping for a heap of stand out players this year instead of just Gal every week, but we’ll see what happens.

Of course if anyone has any feedback about this, it’s more then welcome.

Thanks folks.

Is that a fair dinkum trophy? If it is, the player must be awarded it and photographed with it

You know funnily enough I was thinking about actually sending the winner something, but I don’t know if there any rules about players receiving these kind of things from a fan site. If someone can tell me for sure that we wouldn’t be breaking any NRL rules or anything and you lot are on board with it, maybe we can talk about awarding the player something. If we can’t get the trophy made, maybe a bottle of champers or something. That trophy would be bloody perrrrrfect though.

I think said trophy should be made and awarded to the forum poster of 2018. Can we start. 3-2-1 poster of the week thread? A Carney pissing on Bird trophy would take pride of place in my house!

I reckon Moylan will take out the award this year
