I like auto renewal because I'm lazy. My membership renewal has been automatic since Lyall lobbed, but I also have this option switched on for my VPN and other renewals I consider too important to miss.

It's easy to switch off if it bothers you.

Yes you should have received stuff in the post by now on the membership for2018

If you want to pay it off, it's all done in house with club, no third parties.
If you noticed also, we haven't been using ticketek

Why illegal? Theres heaps of memberships and contracts that roll on. My insurance policy just rolls over into the new year.
Because these things are always 12 month contracts. I have no issue with automatic renewals but it should be something you have to opt into, not the other way around.

Im pretty sure when you signed up for your membership it was part of the agreement. Last year around october/november the club called me asking if i wanted to 'opt in' which i said no cos i was still working out what my choice would be for this year.

That's fine mate, so it isn't automatically 'opt in' then I guess?
