This game is the greatest load of crap ever. A total waste of time and a disruption to the preparation for the NRL season. More chance for more injuries and coming back jet lagged and sluggish to start the season. Another BS game that counts for nothing that should be thrown where it belongs, in the garbage bin, just like the Indigenous All Stars game.

Dont cheer when we win then

I'm not confident with that, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do.

It would be great if we could promote from within rather than having to go after Seggy.

I wonder who will start?

Could start either really. Brailey made the second most tackles in the nyc last year so obviously doesnt shy from hard work. May still need to bulk up a bit but I wouldnt rule him out.

Massive jump up playing against men, I'd definitely keep him away from the first 20 minutes or so.

Stoked. Surprised that Flano hasn't gone the older option.

I'm a massive fan of Nu. Huge chance for him. Needs to take it.

Look at it this way, we would be playing trial games anyway at least this can be viewed as a high intensity trial that we would arguably take more learning's out of. They're big boys, jet leg doesn't take that long to get over
I think our young blokes will take heaps of experience out of it which will only help their development and the team as a whole. Ask any young athlete if touring overseas was a waste of time...

We will have a jump on other teams come rnd 1 that we have already played some games where winning was the goal (not just trial and train)

If it were on at a decent hour I would definitely watch the game with interest

I do find the moniker of 'World Champions' somewhat laughable however even if it's technically correct but if we throw away all the 'garbage' rep/exhibition games and tourno's there won't be anything left to watch but the 26 rounds of NRL

Have said a few times before - I don't care what our team looks like for this game, but I think Nu deserves to be in the 17 based purely on the fact that he was a part (admittedly a small one) of the team that got them to this game. Ditto for Paulo and Capewell.

Agreed. His running game from the 9 could be dangerous.

Beale to start at FB and interchanging with Bird at centre during the game.

So I'm guessing we're going to see something like this:

1. Beale
2. Raimein
3. Bird
4. Leutele
5. Capewell
6. Maloney
7. Townsend
8. Fifita
9. Brown
10. Prior
11. Lewis
12. Graham
13. Gallen (c)

14. Brailey
15. Heighington
16. Bukuya
17. Latimore

Not overly worried about a lot of that side, still good enough to get the job done with no excuses. I've got confidence in Nu/Brailey to get the job done at 9. Our wingers are an issue, but having Bird and Leutelecopter in the centres will help them. Looking forward to seeing Raimein run around.
