Apparently Wests have added Laurie Daley to the shortlist of possible coaches. :lmao

They're the gift that keeps on giving.

Just when you thought they'd stop offering up the goods when they seemingly sorted the Farah saga, they come out all guns blazing in 2017 with a player betting scandal, accusations of drug use, their "big 4" all coming off contract at once and their coach GOOORNE by the end of round 3.

One could worry they've fired all their shots a bit early but with Woods adamant he's not re-signing till he knows who is coach, the admin saying they'll put a deadline on the "big 4" and Lozza in the mix for coach it seems they've set things up well to keep their form going for a while yet too.

The club should be investigated, they must be betting against themselves just like Timmy was.

Possibly the funniest part is how Luke Brooks can be included in 'the big 4'.

Daley would actually be pretty good for the Tiges. Not as good as Cleary though.

Knowing Wests and their selection criteria for coaches, they will sign Brian Smith.

The interview process only has 2 questions, how much do you want to be paid out? and how soon can you finish?

Daley is diabolical. See NSW Origin for the past decade.

Brian Smith would actually be good for a year or 2. He's notorious for taking a big broom to a joint and clean out all the ****. Just gotta have capable replacement ready to go once the clean up work is done because thats where Brian hits his use by date.

Yeah agree on Daley. Apart from that it's very different coaching SOO to the week-in, week-out grind of the NRL. An inexperienced coach they do not need.

Nah I still think Daley would go alright with a young team with low expectations.

Smith is a cancer.

on a side note, is there another player who has improved as much as Norman has the last few years?

Sure, Chads gotten better. Prior, he's probaly closer to this level of improvement but Norman has really gone to another level, like he is another player.

I use to think of him in the same category as Beale - just another Bronco reject that was good but wouldn't do much.
Yeah he's turned into a much better player than I was expecting. Can't recall, did the Broncos try and keep him when he left?
Honestly, I don't think so. Was he playing wing or centre? I can't recall him being a half until he left (still feels weird seeing him in the 7) I think there was always players ahead of him and he took the chance at another club. Did he go to the Eels after the Broncos or was there an in between club?
Straight to Parra.

He played mostly fullback and 5/8 from memory, possibly a bit from the bench as well.

See, shows how much he stood out to me. With hunt to the dragons and Taylor looking likely to re-sign with the Titans long term, I wonder if the Broncos are kicking themselves for letting him go.... who do you think will partner Milf next year in the halves?

The big bore - Teddy is the only one really to get excited about, Woods is bit of a stats whore as a forward and a joke in the ruck but can be effective in his role, the 2 halves are myths

Is Taylor definitely looking to re-sign with the Tits? You know what Brisbane are like, if they want someone they usually get them, especially if they're a Queenslander. I hope Taylor stays at the Tits though.

Im mates with Ash's cousin, they're pretty close like most of the indigenous. He seems pretty certain he's going to stay at the Titans. Likes how they treat him, they're close to his family... I really don't know what direction Brisbane will take next year. Boyd/Milford? Niko/Milf? Will they recruit a josh Reynolds?

I hate Brisbane so I hope so. Milf to go down injured early in the year with a Reynolds/Benji halves pairing would be a dream for me.

Actually I think the funniest thing is they are classified as the big 4, Tedesco is a class player but still yet to be elite on a season by season basis.

The other 3 are handy at times, Brooks is lucky to have played more than a dozen or so games which I classify as very good his whole career, so IMO, he's damn lucky to be getting the raps he actually receives.
