Today I decided I will now end my imposed membership boycott and Join my whole family this year for 2017, can be their secret Xmas present from me...
Still wish they would put on something in Melbourne but after how gracious the sharks were on the occasions my kids bumped into them pre dragons round 2 and Canberra final.
Why not twice?Wonder what our slogan will be for 2017?
"We're the premiers, **** the rest".
Why were you boycotting vic? I have been boycotting also - since about 2010-ish when I paid my renewal for the family of four and never received it (or my money back) despite numerous phone calls and Emails. Was thinking of ending the stand off, since my youngest is now a mad Sharks fan.

Always had a massive chip on my shoulder that we never get to watch the players have light training session or a qik couple autographs in their hotel foyer when ever they were down here.. Sent off plenty of really nicely worded emails never got a reply.
But I thought I'd try again this year under lyall's regime (didn't send it to him) and I atleast got a return email saying nah sorry, I get it was round 26 yada yada but atleast I received a reply.
Then after staying by luck at the same hotel as the squad during the Canberra finals game, I was so impressed by birdy heino lewy capewell barbz who all wandered down to the pool sauna to stretch out in the water pre game, every single one took time to chat to my girls and ask a few shark related question once they knew we had driven up from Melbourne, even flanno picked up all his bags and stuff (he could have done with a xtra set of hands) to get on the bus to the game only to put them down and wander over for a qik photo and hello to my daughters. ( can't imagine Bennett or dessy doing that)
So big well done to all those involved with running the club it would appear times are a changing on and off the field.
Yeah - I remember you talking about the players (specifically Capewell was it?) after the Canberra semi.
We used to get invited to player meet-and-greets up here in Brissy years ago... do any other Queensland-based members know if this is still the case for interstate members when we play Brisbane or the Titans? The young fella will be right in to that so it might just bring me back on board.
We haven't played Brisbane in Brisbane for 3 years now. They had meet & greets in the last few years before that.
I'm sure I've received invites to them down the coast in the last few years (not sure about 2016) though, but they were always at inconvenient times for me.
We have signed up 6000 members already so it will be one of 6000 and something.Anyone wanting to sign up soon, if you get in before close of business Monday you will get the 50th anniversary pin.
Yeah its a pin, but its still collectable.

Vic I think you probably recall when the club allowed interstate supporters to go on the field pre game with the players at AAMi/Olympic Park in the pre game warm up. It was a bit hit and miss but seemed co ordinated by a big team manager guy/official, who was really friendly and on the ball, not sure I have seen this man with the team the last couple of years. Could be some liability/legal type stuff preventing it, given the fresh broom etc, was good while it lasted but, only about a dozen people or so supporters if I recall correctly, involved.
About 100,000 less than when channel 9 flog their cricket memorabilia. We have signed up 6000 members already so it will be one of 6000 and something.
