Why was a short pass allowed for Slater to run up and take the tap on the 20? Thought once the ball was passed then they couldn't do that. Or is there something I don't know?

Can give the ball (short ball). No long pass or cant pass twice. All attacking players have to behind the 20 before its tapped.

Right. Wasn't aware of that. Always thought the ball couldn't be passed at all and if it was then they had to set the line on the 20.

Nah they cut out the long pass. But a hand off as such is allowed. In that case chambers was being tackled still and had he not been able to get rid of the ball vunivalu woulda been binned

Agreed. If they can let this crap be allowed in a GF. Why can't they officiate the same during regular rounds. Is much better to watch. The stop start is ****.

There was a shoulder charge on Slater which wasn't penalised and a double drag-down by a Cowboys forward close to the line that would have had Maloney sinbinned
