Hopefully since he's done it with nearly three and a half months till the start of the season is that he might be able to get back on the field mid season?
When did boyd do his prior to the season just gone? He came back faster than most thought.Hopefully since he's done it with nearly three and a half months till the start of the season is that he might be able to get back on the field mid season?
Mate don't bite when "wise ones" start slapping you around. If accurately anticipating the result of player positions or roles was as straight forward as some guys in this forum think, we wouldn't still have a lonely Amco Cup in the cabinet.Don't you understand the concept of a forum?
There's a back story to why 2010 said that.Mate don't bite when "wise ones" start slapping you around. If accurately anticipating the result of player positions or roles was as straight forward as some guys in this forum think, we wouldn't still have a lonely Amco Cup in the cabinet.
Ahhh I see. Fair enough I guess. I'll stay out of that then. There's a back story to why 2010 said that.
Plain and simple barba is our best fullback. Bird-untested, val-work in progress.
Barba should have first dibs on that jersey imo.

This 2016 Squad is exciting .
We now have a backs that can execute expansive backline drills at speed .In addition we have playmakers everywhere , all our halves , fullback and centres (Bird and Beale not Lutes ) can ALSO play what's in front of them (in the moment) to deviate and set up their teammates .You can throw Val unto that mix too .
So provided we continue to work hard on our defense and our second rowers run lines back infield we will make it VERY difficult for oppositions to hold us out .
Agree with all that Egg, but the worrying area for me is our mental attitude. To me it's still not quite there at the moment. We look great in large patches of games but not once this year have we really played for the full 80 minutes. The level of intensity in that second half on Sunday was terrible and very worrying. Sure we got away with the win but it was heart attack stuff that we shouldn't have had to go through holding a 22 point lead. Doesn't matter who you are playing - if you are in front by 22 points at half time you should win the game comfortably.
Very Very true Chad . Hopefully the scare might serve as a lesson .
We were a little unlucky and should have scored 2 tries that second half and one of their tries looked like at least one block runner interfered with our defense . Went to the Bunker keno decision making process .
Lewis had a BAD tired miss after playing pretty well . He should NOT be playing over 20 minutes a half unless necessary .
Something wasn't right with Bird on the day too .
All in all we at least know our attack has come a LONG way and as you said , 80 minute intensity is required if we are ever to clear the final hurdles .
1. Jayden Brailey – Cronulla Sharks
The Sharks dummy-half isn't the flashiest player in the competition but he is the craftiest. The Cronulla No.9 has the rare talent of getting his forwards over the advantage line no matter how fast or slow the previous play the ball was. Brailey is second in the Holden Cup with 15 try assists from just 11 games and has also crossed for a couple of tries himself. The bulk of Brailey's assists have resulted in tries to lock forward Jayden McDonogh; the pair's combination seemingly unstoppable close to the line.
Brailey also leads the NYC with 430 tackles and is yet to miss a minute in 2016. The Sharks rake appears set to take over from current No.9 Michael Ennis when the NRL veteran decides to hang up the boots. The former Australian Schoolboys representative also has a younger brother at the club, with Blayke Brailey tipped to be as good, if not better than his elder sibling.
Wasn't sure where else to put this but here's a good write up touting Jayden Brailey as the top prospect coming through the holden cup.
