As much as he pisses me off in commentary, Wally is the best player I've seen.

Joey's the best ive seen.

Followed by lockyer, JT and smith. Too young to really judge wally.

Wally was very good at State of Origin - that's when he stepped up a gear, but at club level whilst he was better than average it wasn't by much.

JT on the other hand makes Wally look mediocre.

I never really warmed to Smith but I do acknowledge he is a very good player.

When compared others such as Lockyer and Joey, whilst they too are excellent players I think JT is head and shoulders above them all.

To be fair I think Wally was around 30 when he started playing NRL (or whatever it was called back then) so past his prime.

Thurston > Smith > Junky Johns

Nup.

Joey/Locky > Alfie/ > Smith > Thurston

Joey created kicks no one had perfects or could perform on call like him. If we're talking purely on-field then its Joey all the way.

Locky was an amazing player. A clutch player who did what had to be done when it needed doing better than the rest.

My fav ... has to be Lockyer although I hated the Broncos supreme.

Sorry Caps, what do you mean by a clutch player? I'm seeing this more often these days but I have no idea what it means. Read an article the other day where a journo described a kick at goal as a "clutch conversation" but again, no idea...

High pressure play. Example would be a sideline conversion to win a game etc
