Tariq isn't? He was dropped to NSW Cup that's how well his playing.

I will admit I always had Tariq walking into the NSW side when he got back from injury but he has got a huge amount of work ahead of him.

QLD historically don't pick on form, they have had a great team for a number of yrs now so this is a bad comparison but prior to that they were known as sticking solid with players who had done the job before even if there club form was down.

As a QLDer i really believe we have it all ahead of us this year. NSW dominated in the forwards, and made the qld pack look tired and old. And really a lack of organisation...especially coming of their own line, cost the blues a title. Game 3 at suncorp with G.I. at fullback was the only game where QLD looked dominant.
Qld need to look at the forwards, i think Josh Maguire from the broncos will play this year.
If i was a NSW selector i would be seriously looking at A.Reynolds, to organise and let Carney play a more free flowing ad-lib type role. I think this will help him as i have doubts over his big game abilities.(great in the normal rounds), but seems to lose his way in big games.
If they dont pick Merrit they are crazy. If he was from qld he would have been playing origin for years.

i agree with u on reynolds and carney def a good pair! dunno about merrit yes hes a wonderful attacker but i dont think hes definsively sound enough rabits leaked alot of points on the weekend and it was all outside backs

I said form and the incumbents.

Did Taufua play last year? No. Hence why I didnt pick him, we all know the way this origin works, they will pick a few new guys that are hyped up by the media, and then the rest are the same old guys who are usually there.

Uate? He will be there, he scores alot of tries, the wingers are the hardest to pick in a way, as the wingers performance in attack varies with the rest of the sides attack. In defence they need to hold their own, Uate got butt raped in defence last year.

hayne usually has a few flashes of brilliance at origin time, but not the best ever.

Stewert was great last year, has been a tad quiet, obviously Dugan wont be in the conversation this year anyway. Out of Stewert and Gordon anyway. If Stewert is at FB, Gordon and Taufua on wings (based purely on form) but nearly 100% can guarantee we will see B Morris and Uate on the wings
