using 2 games over the weekend as an example double headers should be played a bit more. we played roosters at sfs and souths played dragons at homebush i presume? 530 followed by a 730 game would be pretty cool IMO. value for money tickets, more football etc.

something else id love to see would be reserve grade being nrl wide, ie each club have its own reserve grade team, and everyones draw is the same, so if we play roosters so do reserves and 20s. there is so many guys in reserves who are fringe players, as well as guys at non NRL clubs who probably wont ever play 1sts.

I honestly reckon the reserves comp really needs to be looked at. Its why our talent pool seems to be emptying.

Playing in reserves holds you back, half the competition wont play firsts, to get the boot from 1sts back to reserves should be a wake up call, to most these greedy blokes, its a week off. If it became a genuine fight for places in first grade bla bla bla it would be worth it. As it stands our reserve grade isnt even full of Sharks players. And those that excel in reserves rarely come in and demolish firsts.
Can still be an alternate NSW cup/QLD cup sorta thing, using feeder teams etc but i think we really need a good look at our lower grade system.

Cant argue with that either.
And if we had a better NSW Cup comp, played on game day with firsts and under 20's then my comment regarding double headers would hold less water,
Given the current set up, we have, I would love to see more double headers.

what is there 8 or 9 sydney teams (and surrounding areas). yet no double headers. like easter weekend at the easter show. theres big opportunities there. and same with opening round. get the fans in, have some double headers and it would be sell outs at the big stadium. no point for teams to be 1/4 filling (or less) big stadiums.

I can't fathom a dogs home game and a rabbits home game double header wouldn't pull a bigger crowd than 2 single games.

Plus less overheads at the ground and on a Friday, there could be 2 live fta games

think dogs v manly souths v roosters saturday double header would pull massive crowd, no reason you wouldnt see 50,000 if the ticket price was right. friday wouldnt work cos a 930 kick off wouldnt go down well

I drove past Remondis Stadium today & it was officially getting all "signed up", we no longer just have Stadium on our front entrance.

Is it right in saying the addition of the souther stand meant we could no longer name it 'park' or 'field'? I had heard that? Not sure the truth behind it though.

In saying that. Remondis Field or Remondis Park woulda sounded pretty cool.
Very happy with their partnership, I dont care what field they are part of, they are contributing to the future of our club.
