Not really. Why does the advantage go to the team that created the penalty? Sam Thaiday, Mick Ennis, Kurt Gidley all pull up the ref every single time they get penalised. This shouldnt be allowed, its slowing down the game, giving the defence a chance to settle. Time is not stopped, therefore the Captains should not be allowed to stop the game.

If a penalty is taken, the quick tap, provided its taken from a mark that is given, should be allowed regardless of if the ref is back in line or not. No advantage should be given to the team that gave up the penalty
