you think the NRL will give us 2 mil, to pay a fine imposed by the NRL?

i dont see a 2 mil fine being dished out. 1 mil max. NRL is not as big a money game as AFL, if any side was fined 2 mil itd cripple them. if the nrl fined a club purposely to wash them out of the comp, its time for a rebel comp.

melbourne storm were fined 700k for massive cap rorting which included 2 stripped premierships etc, we have nothing to strip us of, there would be 1 maybe 2 teams in the nrl that could brush off a 2 mil fine, but it wouldstill sting. the game isnt big enough to go fining people that much money.

Oh look. Another club with financial troubles.

While it's convenient for everyone to point and laugh at the Sharks, this needs to be addressed for everyone's sake.

If I recall correctly, the only club in the country making money is the Broncos.

Clubs need more money from the NRL through the TV rights deals and merchandise etc. This is where the games cash flow comes from and the clubs are entitled to it, given that they are really providing the main goodwill and marketable product. Where would the League be without the clubs that make it up? People love their clubs and follow the game because of them.

I know they got more money recently, but is it enough?
