He's no world beater or high profile signing but he is better than anyone we have on the books. Pretty simple really. What's the worst that happens? He fights for a spot against Williams, stapo, M.Wright etc. lol

Looking interesting for us in 2013. More backs and depth too. I love this salary cap increase.now we keep TC forever!

You do realize that not just Sharks' salary cap is going up? Everybody's salary cap is increasing.

So going by your logic, we actually have no chance of re-signing "TC" because 15 other clubs will have "more money" to throw at him.

I'll be very surprised if Todd Carney leaves us. Something special is about to happen in the shire within the next couple of years. And I feel he would definitely wanna be apart of it.

Carney gives me the impression of a mercenary. I think he will go where the money is. If he doesn't I will be surprised!

I think he will stay. Seems to like flanno, loves the freedom we give him and the fact they treat him like an adult. I'd be shocked and surprised if he left

If I was given a dollar for everytime I heard someone say that over the past 40 years I'd be a very rich man.

Where do you get this impression from? He has been sacked from every NRL club he has played for. I would think most players would want to stay at there current club unless they didn't get on with a coach or player group. The reason to want to move on comes down to 2 main reasons. 1) substanially more money, or 2) A chance to win the comp. If we make him a competive offer and look to further strengthen our outside backs to remain a chance of winning I would think he would want to stay.

There are other reasons such as moving closer to family and freinds or going to a club you supported as a child, but I would think money and chance to win a comp would be the top proirities.

For the first time in as long as I remember there hasn't been this much around the sharks. With the development coming through, our club out of debt, players actually wanting to come to the club, a strong squad of players. Something special is due !

With Ryan apparently signed I'd go with:

1 Gardner
2 Ryan
3 Pomeroy
4 M. Gordon/Leutele
5 J. Wright/M.Gordon
6 Carney
7 Townsend
8 Gibbs
9 De Gois
10 Gallen
11 J. Smith
12 Lewis
13 Graham

14 Fafita
15 Morris/Robson
16 Bukuya
17 Ross

Gordon preferably in the centres but depends on how he goes there when given a shot.

Assuming Smith is staying and Heighington doesn't come as that is what I want. If this isn't the case just put Heighington in Smith's spot.

Couldn't decide between Morris and Robson, both have different advantages so don't mind which way it goes.

its becoming good squad.
no matter the makeup of the first runout team, injuries, suspension and rep duties will always impact.
we have awesome depth, something we have lacked in previous years. (assuming Smith goes as rumoured)
this is the team i think will runout in round 1. Although i do think Graham or Bukuya could play in the centres to fit all the best players on the field..
i also think Gal will wear the number 13, even if he plays most of the time at prop. Its his number.

1. M. Gordon
2. Ryan
3. Pommeroy
4. Leutele
5. J.Wright
6. Carney
7. Townsend//Robson
8. Gibbs
9. De gois
10. Ross
11. Graham
12. Lewis
13. Gallen
14. Fifita
15. Tupou
16. Morris
17. Heighington
18. Bukuya
19. M. Wright
20. Gardner
21. Mills
22. Stapo
23. I Gordon
24. Townsend//Robson
25. Taufua
26. Tagatese
27. Green
