I'll kick them off

Haven't posted on here all year, but read the forum everyday.

Perhaps shouldn't be writing this now with the loss to the Raiders so raw.

In summary it's been a good year for the Sharks but could've been so much better. We lost so many close games we should've won. Tigers, panthers, storm. Top 4 was realistic.

I always thought in preseason we were top 6 material because we had depth in the forwards and halves. The critics didn't recognize this. Although he didn't do much we had John Green in reserves all year essentially and he was on the bench in a very good Dragons side.

What brought us undone were 2 things.

* injuries. Yes ever club has them. But we were without our best outside back all year Gardner and also missed Toupo for big chunks and clearly after Origin Gallen and Carney played injured. Wade Graham stamped himself as a star and then suffered a bad injury. Even today he clearly played injured.
* the back three. Without Gardner our various back 3 are simply not first grade standard. They cost us plenty of games this year, they couldn't take advantage of Carney and even today they made crucial mistakes.

But there's plenty of positives
* we should have a stronger side next year with Lewis and Gordon and even Jonathon Wright. It's very disappointi g smith is likely to leave.
* The coach has proven he has a great ability to recruit, however clearly he's recruiting for now and not the future given the age of our top line players, so taking advantage of that is critical.
* this years experience will serve the players well. Learning about the importance of closing out games.
* and finally the development. We don't have to worry so much about folding.

Let's just hope we can jag another decent outside back. As much as I hate to say it, we'd be looking pretty good with Ferguson still in the team.

The Voice Of Reason - Our Season

Probably the wrong time to say this as we are all filled with anger, disapointment and revenge, but lets be honest its been a better year than years gone past.

I am just as passionate and demanding of my sharkies as anyone( following them for 40 years) and in no way should we as supporters , or anyone else involved with the club hand out a free pass for that performance today or the second half for that matter.

But, what I am extemely intetested in now is what they will do moving forward.

Among the most glaring things is our back three...... we are pathetic..and please i dont want to hear from anyone defending these gimps...... In our most recent run of success Peachy, Rogers and our other winger whos name escapes me not only did the basics right but were very very dangerous.

We have addresed things slighty with J Wright and M Gordon but this is not enough!!! We need another winger and another centre...... these guys who are coming through our lower grade...cant do it in September!!

Another issue that needs to be addressed is the 9......i am a huge degois fan BUT he or who ever else gets the role needs an engine for the 80 min or pretty close. Having a second 9 that takes up an impact spot on the bench is a luxury

There are a few other issues but another glaring one is player management...after origin we wre running on fumes and we need not only to keep the depth in the forwards ( no release to smith) but share the load before during and after origin

thats my take on it...I want a Briscoe and Jennings type....de gois to up his engine(which will be hard at his age) keep smith and try to keep fritz ..ala moltzen!!

Keep Wright Mills and Gardner on the bare minimum for depth.............gone is ike ,hotdog, stapleton, best and leutele ( but i believe he has resigned)

I am shattered but wxcited that our pathetic back three might actually create more urgency in getting the voids filled ..had we lucked through with a couple of wins now ..it may have given a fake picture of who we have out there.... Im excited to see what happens

Our season was great in the beginning when we had a strong game plan and getting those repeat sets, but we completely got rid of a winning formula for the second half of the season, it angers me to think we did this

Robson has to go! he brings nothing to the team that Chad cant do and more, his kicking game is attrocious and he calls himself a half

what the **** was ike doing on the field, he is the ****test human, i cant understand why Gardner wasnt given a go

the Carney injury is absoloutly ****ed because it will eat into at least the beginning of next season, he wont get a pre season, and im very worried about what were gonna do in the halves,

this demise of carney means Robson is most definately sticking around unfortunately

BUT on a more positive note i am looking forward to seeing Lewis,Gordon and Wright in our colours next season because they are all upgrades on what we have right now, and im very hopeful the rumors are true with kalifa fai fai loa becuase he is talented.

maybe, somehow, i dont know if this is possble but if there are any decent halves off contract we could pick one up cos lord knows we need one now carneys up the duff, as well as another backline player

will be very interesting seing what format and structure will be in place next year

all in all i feel our year was a partial success in terms of achivement, but a much better success in building something

don't you understand man? this has gone way beyond the most recalcitrant
backward intoxicated post. and way beyond the perceptions of diehards.

major stuff needs to change like yesterday.
we need to demand a pro football team to follow.

not this namby pamby she's looking good for next year, next year, next year
crapolla.
we must decide now as loyalists that this slide will never happen again..
if this bond is subsequently broken? we should indeed expect a public hanging no less, yes?

lets us ferret out the non believers, for they shall be sacrificed to the gods..
hide you cowards, for you know no other way, cower you despicable infidels as
vanquishing the beast is foreign to your nature.

i bleed for the warriors of heart...0_0...what will you sacrifice?

We will have Gallen, Bukuya, Graham, Tupou and Lewis as 80 minute back rowers next year. There is no way in hell we need 4 forwards on the bench when De Gois has the stamina for 35 minutes, Morris 50 minutes and Robson our only chance of an 80 minute hooker but who knows because he hasn't played there for us.

If you want the extra bench spot for an outside back that is laughable considering we barely have enough NRL quality ones for our 1-5.

Man, it hurts. To think of all the highs we had during the season, most notably being the first team to beat Melbourne, and doing so without Gal, we wre cementing a top 3 spot at the time, and to go out like this, man, it's tough.

Everyone to go to Woolworths and buy one or two boxes of tissues and clean up those tears ffs.

Too much bitching, whining and general gayness. We lost, yeah ok it sucks big deal. Tell us what though **** it was good to be able to sit there for the first time and 4 years knowing that there is atleast some chance for us.

It was a good season, piss poor last 5 rounds and terrible last game, get over it. It's not the first time it's happened nor will it be the last. Were not the only club it's happened too either. We succeeded expectations for most of us and pretty much everyone else outside the club. We got unlucky with injuries and referee decisions, that's football move on. You'll find most of the premiers are the teams who are the luckiest with key injuries.

We assembled a squad which has been our best in four years and signed one of the most dangerous play makers in the comp. Next season we've signed Luke Lewis and Michael Gordon, the strong team gets stronger. The development has also for through, yet you're all acting like we had both hands on this years trophy already. Pull ya heads out of the toilet.

Too many ****s whining about Carney being out for next season as well, yet nothing has been confirmed. Negative ****s.
