would never ever buy an LG product again, the plasma I bought a few yrs ago has had issues virtually since it was out of its std warranty, for anyone looking to buy a plasma or lcd, led check out the LG feedback, it says it all!

i own 2 LG LCD tv's and a dvd/vcr combo and none of them have had an issue, and i've had them for 3 years. but i didn't buy them cause of the sponsorship though, so it didn't bother me they left.

i see Hisense as a Kmart brand (cheaper brand) like Lynx to Nike sorta thing, but if it works and is good value then i'll buy it (there all made by 7 year olds in china anyways lol).

good luck Bizzy w/ your LG, what I had wrong w/ mine seems to be common (complaints on ceratin parts they use) they basically know it will last just long enough inside its warranty before it goes.

ah wel LG build probably the second most unreliable air con on the market, after Fujitsu also. LG products arent that great, but they have a big name so people buy them.

HISENSE mightnt be the best products in the world, but the players arent running round with tvs under their arms are they, its a sponsor, they pay a team to wear their logo on their jersey. HISENSE came along when the 'bigger and better' LG piss bolted.

To be fair they sponsored us for years and with the unprecedented publicity we were getting at the time it is hard for a business the size of theirs to stick around for that.

I hate LG (in saying that i just bought an LG 3D plasma) but i know how unreliable they are. Samsung is the best brand for TVs. But i got this one on the cheap at only $1200 so i couldnt pass it up. If i get 2 years out of it ill be happy.

All you guys should come see me for info about tv's and **** i work at dickies so I kinda know my ****, Lg are the only company that still offers a free 2 year guarentee on their tv's so they still have that over anyone else.

I still prefer Samsung in a tv but in realistic sake there all made in China apart from Samsung that is made in Malaysia so eh, go for something cheap and big but keep an eye on its energy rating or will bite u in the dick later.

There used to be a Company called Goldstar which made products that you usually brought at the markets or two dollar shops and paid next to nothing for they used to break down just after the six month warranty ran out but everyone used to say to themselves you get what you paid for and shrug it off. It was just a renowned for **** cheap products, They changed there name to Lg and offered companies like Harvey Norman their products with the possibility of big profits and incentives if they pushed their brand. If you are going to buy a TV etc and are going to pay big bucks don't ask the salesman at the store go to a repairer and see how many Lg products are in getting fixed and ask what they recommend

Like someone said above, I'd never heard of Hisense until they came on board. Happy for them to stay but on increased $$$ as the Sharks brand is on the up

6 year old Plazma and a 2year old LCD Samsung haven't missed a beat on either of them mate is on his third LG lol

I role samsung. But just to clear something up. LG are a far cheaper tv than Hisense. Just pop into JB and have a look. Hisense is more expensive than samsung and LG and most other brands apart from Sony etc. I know because I was going to get a Hisense but the Samsung was more affordable

Hisense has a much much better warranty which is way they are a little more expensive.


better energy ratings (they are real. not in a testing mode)

1yr or 3yr in home priority replacement warranty . length depends on model. they deliver, and setup the replacement in home.

try getting that from goldstar.... sorry LG
