I haven't really been paying much attention to Sponsor's scene. In saying that, why isn't Hisense re-singing on with us?

Id suggest that Hisense got a bargain for us years ago, we are now asking a lot more and so we should, we have lots more to offer this year IMO and if development gets approval there will be lots more jumping on board due to increased security.

If i was a company id be getting on us now BIG TIME.

I'm sure our hierarchy are using that angle to try & squeeze a few extra bucks out of prospective sponsors, hence the delays.

I'm confident they'll have something lucrative to announce soon.

Why don't we put a charity on there while we wait?

I've been doing some work with Wesley Mission for their IT set up lately and the stuff they do is awesome for people in need. They really help out people and I am sure they would love some free awareness until we get a sponsor and could be good for both parties. The dogs did it with the childrens hospital a few years back and it created some good publicity for them.

i think hisense are staing on but not as major sponsors.

in regards to the sponsorship, im sure that the club officials (beaumont isnt it?) are working hard on securing the right deal.

im confident come round 1 we will have something.

Regards sponsorship:

For my final days in Australia a couple weeks ago I spent them at the Shire, where I grew up.

While there I spent some time at the club for meals and down the beach.

I was entertaining someone down Cronulla and decided to have lunch. With so many options at North it seemed difficult to decide until I saw Hog's Breath.

I went there purely because they sponsor the Sharks.

We had a beautiful meal overlooking my home beach, and it was the perfect way to remember Australia.

After the meal I mentioned that I ate there because of their sponsorship of the Sharks and asked that this be passed on to the manager/owner/person who makes these decisions.

I'm not sure if it made it to that person but if someone knows them, pass on my thanks for their dollars being used to sponsor my team. In turn, my dollars and those of my family still in the Shire is spent on them.

Thanks. Go Hogster. Go Sharkies.

WANTED: a cashed-up sponsor to jump on board the Cronulla Sharks and Penrith Panthers for the fast-approaching 2012 NRL season.

Trials may be just around the corner, but the Sharks and Panthers remain the only two Sydney clubs without a backer for the front of their respective jerseys.

The Sharkies are not the richest or most successful club, but according to sponsorship man Peter Beaumont: "We are talking to two companies, and those talks are in the advanced stages."

Should nothing be sorted by next weekend, the Sharks will play in sponsor-less training tops in their Manly trial. As for Penrith, they are also yet to lock in a new deal since Sanyo ended the 12-year romance last year.

What a dumb article.

There'll be big problems if we play a trail without a sponsor...

I'd be very surpirsed if we play in training tops.
