Clayton and Snelson look good!
umm i havnt seen tauti and tongia or flanagan on the field. the game just finished. we lost 18-16. smith threw a magic cut ot ball that got us back in the game. and we had one finally chance to win, but grubb dropped it.

I only watched a bit so far (I'm recording it), but here are my initial thoughts.
Vave - Looked physically wrong, like he's gone backwards from a conditioning point of view. It looked like he dropped heaps of weight including muscle, but then put a bit of puppy fat back on. Looked smaller than last year and has a lower centre of gravity by the look of it. I think it took away his impact but he was able to keep marching forward with defenders on him like Gallen does. I hope he can regain some size around the shoulders, bit of a shame.
Snelson - Still doing what I liked from last year. Good service, and very quick off the mark.
Clayton - Looked awesome!
Stapleton & Gordon - Just looked like what you'd expect. Nothing special. Okay.

clayton looked awesome. i heard all the hype for him on here and then i saw one of our forwards running back like a mad man. the commentators then said it was clayton. i now understand why everyone has raps on him.

timmy smith still aint up to first grade standard. but showed glimpses of his great passing game.

For the record the team list at the start of the game was different to the one named here, and both of them are wrong. The one on the TV didn't have Clayton yet he played. So it's a bit hard to keep track of wtf is going on.

fair enough, so why the mention of farlow, is he any good?
I don't know if Farlow's one of ours or one of Melbourne's, but he was one of the best forwards in the NSW Cup last year when he was playing lock for Balmain/Ryde/Eastwood and they had a gun side. Bit Gallen like apparently.

They were saying in the commentary that he was a mid-week signing by the Sharks. I just assumed that they meant Cronulla Sharks otherwise I would have thought they'd say Melbourne. Not sure if he was good because of the confusion with numbers and all that.
So basically, from what I understand he was literally playing for another team in round 3, and then jumped to the Sharks. They said it would have been become he would have thought there'd be more of an opportunity at the Sharks. Not sure if they meant an opportunity for first grade or not. Either way I thought it was interesting. Maybe he's a 55k player? What's his full name AB?

Jarred/Jarrod Farlow. From memory he's about 190cm and 100kg with some skills, but pretty old- about 26. He and David Gower were the standout forwards for the Tigers NSW Cup last year (and pretty much the standout forwards in the comp).
I reckon he would be on a 2nd tier deal, but hopefully training with the first grade squad. Actually, maybe he jumped ship because the two Schirnack boys got starts for the Tigers over him over the last couple of weeks.
I'm pretty sure there was a rumour around after the end of last season that both us and Melbourne were interested in him. Good signing either way, there's no doubt that he's a strong NSW Cup player.

he went pretty well I have no idea if he is ours or melbournes though I neverf actually heard the commentators say he was a mid week signing I though it was something about the players getting told were they are getting played midweek??? not really sure
