havnt heard whats doing over there
huge crowd at the netball tonight,

What a total embarrassment.
Seriously why don't they just give away the tickets and then charge $20.00 for a beer or what ever they drink over there.
At least it will look alot better on TV.
At least the greatest game in the world pulls bigger crowds. (NRL)
Thats if the track is ready because at the moment it looks like a field.

It's a shame to see all those emty seats...It dampens the games no doubt. I have watched a little bit here and there on ten and one hd. Watched us in the womens hockey, there a a few little hotties in our side i must say

You have to feel for her, how guttered would she feel.
After winning the race, doing a victory lap, on your way to get the gold medal and then
POW!!!!! being told you aren't getting it.
Surely there has to be a cut off time for the judges to make a call on that.
Anyway I'm glad we are raking in the gold in so many events.

No offence intended to any Poms on here but u have to say, the Poms just dont like losing to Aussies, every time we beat them they make one lame excuse and complain about it
Just on to the boxing...
This would have to be one of the stingiest scoring tournaments I've every seen.
I'm seeing so many scoring punches not awarded and also so many times where a penalty should be awarded for repeated infringements but isn't.
I'm also concerned how there doesn't seem to be enough acknowledgement to the fighter who is on the front foot. In many ways, it seems like there is too much benefit for the fighter who waits for the fight to come to them.
In terms of entertainment, guarding up and clinching in a big man cuddle makes for a pretty poor spectacle.
This would have to be one of the stingiest scoring tournaments I've every seen.

I can't stand all the BS in pro boxing but I do like amateur bouts.
One of my boys boxes for Sutherland PCYC and was in the Junior State Titles about 4 weeks ago - his coach is a female boxer who is an incredible fighter in her own right but a great coach.
His grand-dad & mentor (my father-in-law) was a NSW Champion Welterweight & Middleweight fighting out of Rockdale and I was with Caringbah Police Boys when I was a teenager.
I still get out into the garage on to the heavy bag when life gets me down.

I was watching the 1500 swimming and colour of the pool was disgusting, it was a cloudy mixture.
The stands seemed to filled with other countries competitors and very little local support
Some of the venues look great but were are the crowds, it's a shame to see this.
I hope the CG Committee learn something from this.

weight lifting last night, last lift for the medal, the scoreboard showing what they had to lift goes blank. One chick does her back in and it takes two minuites to get medical attention,
Dog on the shooting range half way through the comp, another on the running track.
Oh and two king cobras in the athletes village. Plus the scoreboard that fell down during the rugby the other day.
Average wage is 3 bucks, no fee tickets for kids, and corrupt civil servants selling passes to use the express roads for 300 bucks a pop.
