Is it just me, or anyone else think that this may be the perfect timing for a shark to captain the state side??

1. BRETT STEWART
2. JOEL MONOGHAN
3. MICHAEL JENNINGS
4. JAMIE LYON
5. DAVID WILLIAMS
6. TERRY CAMPESE
7. MITCHELL PEARCE
8. BRENT KITE
9. ROBBIE FARAH
10. BRETT WHITE
11. ANTHONY LAFFRANCHI
12. GLENN STEWART
13. PAUL GALLEN (C)

14. WILLIE MASON
15. ANTHONY WATMOUGH
16. KURT GIDLEY
17. ANTHONY TUPOU

WITH - ANTHONY MINICHELLO, JARRYD HAYNE, MATT COOPER, BEN POMEROY, PETER WALLACE, JUSTIN POORE, LUKE DOUGLAS, BEN POMEROY, LUKE O'DONNELL, RYAN HOFFMAN, MARK MINICHELLO, STEVE SIMPSON, MICHAEL ROBERTSON, CHRIS LAWRENCE AND BRAITH ANASTA FIGHTING FOR INCLUSIONS...

I can't find anyone else in that line up of say maybe 30 players... that could captain NSW... if Braith gets picked, he might get it... but i think Gallen is the only club and suitable captain in that starting squad...?? what does everyone else think ???

Early days yet i know but hmm?

Surely Mason wont be picked again.
Id have Hayne as a def starter, look out for a big 09 from him.

Gal would be a great captain.

Mason will always be picked, because well, he is Willie Mason, he comes with the media, the media comes with state of origin.. sad but true!

and yeah Hayne will be good next year. but i think Wolfman is better option, maybe move Monas into centres, Hayne on wing, Lyon in 5/8.. i hate Lyon but he played damn well this year for Manly!

What's wrong with Pearce? He's young!! We need to settle with one set of halves!!

either...
MITCHELL PEARCE - JARROD MULLEN - PETER WALLACE - TERRY CAMPESE
we can't rely on the
MATT ORFORD - BRETT KIMMORLEY - BRAITH ANASTA - TRENT BARRETT's we need to rebuild a squad not keep it old...

I agree on most of the side but monaghan should take jennings spot and bring hayne in. Really don't know about halves, maybe the roosters but I'd like to see campese and/or mate.

jeez that team is so much more different to past years. looks really good but with all the young talent. but i dont want white back into the front row. didnt handle it last year. better off trying someone that might do a good job. and probly need 2 props on the bench

Josh Perry for White and another prop on the bench.

Mason will have a big year next year.

Queensland will still win, but taking steps to install a core group of young, key men in the NSW squad will bring a series back to Blues territory sooner rather than later.

we will lose it due to poor selection and bellamy being unable to coach against melbourne players

Halfback spot is the spot up for grabs.

Depending on Trent Barretts form, he is a chance.

Kite and Perry, definite props. Leave White out

They should pick lots of sharks if they want to win! I hope Simmons gets to play City Country again. But there are some other good centers so he wont get to play State Of Origon. But they should pick Luke Douglas in the dfront row.

1. Mateo isnt a 5/8
2. He has to put it in writing to RLIF that he wants to change his allegience to australia/NSW from Tonga

I remember Mateo playing alot of the Season for parra at 5/8 and I wouldnt have him at lock if Gal is fit. He'll play for NSW.
