13 wins needed to make the 8 by my ladder.

We didn't make it, but we didn't get the spoon.

Predicting the rest of the year based on the current form is guesswork though and I'm still hopeful.

ur all f**king high have u watched us play this year..this year we just need to build through this crisis we are in, get kids like stapleton and wright match paractise..we arent in finals contention

Being optimistic and realistic at the same time, this is the rest of our season:

Eels - WIN
Warriors - WIN
Raiders - WIN
Broncos - LOSE
Roosters - WIN
Cowboys - LOSE
Bye
Sea Eagles - LOSE
Storm - LOSE
Eels - WIN
Broncos - LOSE
West Tigers - LOSE
Titans - LOSE
Sea Eagles - LOSE
Rabbitohs - LOSE

That is 5 more wins if we really really aim up. 12 more points if you include the bye, putting us on 16 points.

Last year the wooden spooners were both on 14 points.

Basically it is a very OPTIMISTIC call to suggest we will get anything other than the WOODEN SPOON for the first time since 1969!!!

Yep, 40 years.

It's best to accept this now and not be disappointed later on. The best outcome we can have this season is to blood some young talent, come second last, and be reasonably confident we'll be around next season to try again.

the game against the broncos is without there origin stars so i am hoping we can get a win there. hoping..

That's mine which could be said is a bit more optimistic, has them finishing 12th on 22 points. Although i think if they lose to Eels then they lose to Warriors as well. Broncos should be a win due to origin as someone said and i think we usually beat cowboys and if we had a winning streak going then would again. Think we beat Manly at home when they dont have Stewart but they r too good for us when he is back at Brookevale.

So really after looking at it the top 8 is somehow not out of the reach but this season should really more be about consolidating and preparing something for next year, which will be the season to define whether we live or die imo.

I think the Dogs will drop off during the 2nd half of the season. Kimmorley will succombe to injuries and Roberts & Holdsworth will fail.
