2008 Battering Rams

I have 15 games recorded (all of them we won) I was watching one tonight, which was round 1 against manly.

I thought this was funny when the commentator said that Simmons had put on a few Kilos over the off season and to be used with Pomeroy as our battering rams, for when the forwards are getting tired.

After watching the season unfold do you agree with our new battering ram (David Simmons)?

yer I think the commentator would have taken back his comment on Simmons being a battering ram at the end of the season.

Because David Simmons can't run, tackle and he makes no line breaks!

thankfully simmo is off contract next year and would take a massive amount of sucking up to get re-signed

one play sums up dave simmons as of late. watch a replay of the sharks v raiders semi final, and watch how soft his defence on colin best was near our own line. now i have never been a david simmons hater, but that was soft defence, and it was not the first time this year. the other thing with simmons is that i believe he is the reason for misi t's poor strike rate for try's this season. i can't quite remember, but the three try's misi scored against the raiders, i think, all came to misi from players other than simmons, although i think he may have tapped the bomb back for misi's first try so i could be wrong.i don't recall a backline play where these two actually combined to score points.the thing is, i remember a lot of try's to pom and covells side, and not all from kicks either, but the only ones i remember on the other side of the field were for fraser anderson when he was playing centre, so there is a problem there somewhere.
